not really no, people genuinely want to pay to see Dave, he’s not tricking people out of their money, they know EXACTLY what they are signing up for when they pay to see him.

I think Dave is still funny(though his last special was a bit too defensive for my tastes) and I don’t think he hates trans people, he’s just clumsy at accepting them.

Yeah i’m a little disturbed by the sexism aimed at Katie on this thread, Denzel is a damn good actor but in general I get the sense that he’s a very unpleasant person to be around in real life, so I don’t blame Katie for being taken aback by his response.  Could she have phrased the questions better? Absolutely, but…
