It ain’t about looks! I have a 2019 Speed Twin and while I was drawn to the “classic” looks, having once had a Bonnie decades before in college with drum brakes that took forever to slow the bike, I for-sure wanted modern features. The ability to stop damn fast is a necessity, not an option.

I’m smelling a Lemon Law refugee. Seems like a long list of ‘minor’ problems for such relatively low mileage. For sure, I’m not paying that much without having everything repaired. Love how it looks and the power, but this one just feels doomed, like the beautiful person you meet and fall for, except he/she overwhelms

Instant No Dice! I can buy a freezer and a generator to power things for a thousand dollars, and this beat-to-shit Dodge van is probably worth $1000 tops on a good day. Not seeing anything here worth the asking price. Not. Even. Close.

Looked at the price in the headline, wondering if it was missing a decimal point. Went immediately to No Dice button and clicked a hundred times.

I’ve been in these, loaners from the dealer. I just can’t get excited by BMW SUVs for some reason. When we were looking for a replacement for our 2007 328ix, we walked right past all the SUVs. Zero interest. So it’s a ND for me, but I think a reasonable NP price for someone looking for one. Just ain’t me . . .

Wow, the Miata has been around that long . . . Where does the time go?

NOT going to reward some guy for being first in line. I’ve already seen one or two in the wild and know that a few more months of waiting, the supply will be adequate to meet the demand. That said, some idiot with more money than brains will scoop it up . . . and a year from now will be trying to sell it for what he

Cute! But the reality is it’s 30 years old, expensive to buy and likely expensive to insure. Any fender bender from trying to DD it, will quickly consume your wallet. A lot to like if you’re in the market for a true custom car, but then you miss the fun of creating your own version of something like this. Too many

We should have a poll on this. I can add Honda Civic (ok but no way to stretch out) and the backseat of a club cab Silverado (excellent!) Attempted but gave it up in a Datsun pickup (she was 5'10" and I’m 6')

A whole lotta bucks for a tired, high-mileage 30 year-old ride. Plus I hate those wheels, so No Dice.

If you’ve got the skill set (I do), you can shame a lot of big-power sports bikes with a Wing. These later generations (like this one and since), handle damn well.

I’ve got a K1600. I concur . . .

The thing is, Wings rarely require major work.

True this. I solved this conundrum by buying a Triumph Speed Twin to go with the big-ass BMW tourer. Note: can’t get the photo to load, Thanks Kinja. Not!

Owned one of that generation. Easy and comfortable trans-continental travel and 60,000 miles ain’t nothing for these bikes. It’s actually low mileage. There are a lot out there with more than 300,000 miles on them. No stupid paint jobs or an excess of chrome, so Most Definitely a Nice Price!

Nope nope nope nope and NOPE.

It’s more than just automakers and Ford.

“Investment”? Not so sure.

Some Jeep stan will buy it, but this is so overpriced for what you’re getting that it would take me the rest of the day to list all the negatives. Basically, this is a bare-bones nuthin’-special Jeep. BFD for the restoration and engine swap. It’s a one-season around-the-farm/beach toy. For the asking price I can buy

She makes it look so easy, like the other drivers are just learning how to drive fast. God speed Sabine!
