As someone who has parted out some vehicles — bikes mostly — it’s a lot of work that only rarely justifies the hassle, expense and labor. I suppose if you have the tools, time, garage space and a busy eBay account, you might make back your $7000 purchase price . . . but you probably won’t. Just too many things wrong…

Sure, why not! Not overpriced, Ford components underneath mean maintenance will be less often/costly, the interior looks like a nice place to use all that horsepower and mileage is reasonable for the age.

Harley lost its way more than two decades ago and became a cult rather than a vehicle manufacturer. They can’t get out of their own way, don’t innovate and refuse to accept the reality that what they make is widely loathed by not only most motorcycle riders, but by the general public as well.

Same for us. We could easily be solo car people (do have a motorcycle . . .). However, both of ours are paid off and one was new in 2018. Still, if I needed quick cash . . .

THIS is how you do a for-sale listing. Be up front about problems, photo everything relevant, keep the garbage cans and other bullshit out of the background. And most important, don’t out yourself as a self-important asshole like too many sellers -- see yesterday’s example.

I agree, great motor, but not with the Thule mobile-coffin on top. This guy has a beater that he wants premium bucks for. A 5 mile test drive? Proof I can row a manual? Screw him!

I actually took a hard look at one in person at a trade show last year. Liked what I saw and appeared well-constructed. And the SRP price — I think around $8,000, but don’t hold me to that — meant it would be a cheap off-roader that could be an errand-running second or third car.
