He is, but so is everyone on the show. He seems to get punished more than anyone else though.

Now THIS is what Veep is. What other show can have its lead pull the plug on her own mother for a "death bump" and still call itself a comedy?
So dark and SO DAMN GOOD.

Dan is not having a good year!

Dan doesn't get any credit either, there was a moment in the last season finale where he seemed affected by it, but it was never addressed.

No I completely buy Dan picking his career over Amy, I just thought the setup was a little contrived.

Haha, yeah, Dan is ridiculously attractive. But I kind of agree with your read of the situation, in fact I have always thought that even if Amy is more attracted to Dan (which we saw in season 4 as well), Dan genuinely seems to like her as a person. He is much nicer to her than she is to him, in fact, like he helped

Well she did destroy his career and cause him to have a nervous breakdown with zero guilt, at least in Dan's case it wasn't a deliberate move to hurt her. (I love Amy the most but come on )

This episode definitely felt more disjointed and all over the place as compared to the last one, there were more "pause for laughter" moments and character discontinuity and the Dan/Amy twist felt very contrived, especially with all the (kind of cheesy) build up. But am hoping it gets better in the next episode.

well she did say "(time) always feels longer with her" in the armando era

She does, in episode 6.

That sandwich bit killed me. And the Harry Potter reference.

I feel that way about Jonah

or Dan.

Yep. as much as I loved Amy's meltdown in "Convention", I actually enjoyed Dan's breakdown arc from season 3 more. Plus season 3 had more focus on core characters and less on guest stars.

I feel your pain.

Talking of HBO Go, wasn't Reid Scott supposed to in this?

Veep won for the first time, what are you talking about?

I marathoned season 3 and season 4 over the last week and I came here to read the comments and it stuck me that though all the other actors are commended in the comments, Reid Scott somehow doesn't get the credit he deserves. Specially for his breakdown arc last season. It's probably because Dan is not a sympathetic

Mi too. The two younger kids always get me. It is a little annoying to see Axl get preferential treatment all the time. Also, why does Mike have to be so callous towards them? First it was the favorite kid, then the "I don't have anything in common with Brick". They do have a lot in common. Wasn't there an episode
