that brings up a good question. If you WERE rich, how much would you realistically be willing to spend on this? Think its ACTUALLY worth a few grand shy of a base model M2?

Normally i’d agree with you but this one makes me question that idea. Why would you spend $45,000 to drive a Beetle when you can buy one off Craigslist for $5,000 and get the same driving experience.

depending on the level of rust your car has, i would nominate swapping a new exhaust in. changes the sound, lets you say you have a “modified” car, and really only is a couple bolts and some rubber hangers. That said if you live in an area that salts the road, you WILL need a cutoff wheel to cut the stock bolts.

I like this. Its not something I would buy but I think the styling is “just right” now. It may be blander but its not supposed to stand out. Its an unremarkable crossover by a company that has never tried to be flamboyant.

So if they can’t pay it in one lump sum why don’t they set up, I dunno, a payment plan. Something like they pay maybe a couple million every month (or every year, idk what their monthly P&L’s look like) for a few years until they’ve honored their obligation.
