while i agree it is a programming issue, computers don't like to have more than 2 choices at a time...so having 10 available choices is going to require some seriously ingenious programming
Jaguar will be tossing its own effort into the "luxury crossover" segment with the five door all-wheel-drive "F-Pace." It is expected to be similar to Jaguar's 2013 C-X17 concept vehicle. It will be Jaguar's attempt to offer a model to compete in a segment it currently hasn't entered.
The problem with a transmission with so many gears is that the computer is never completely satisfied leaving it in a gear and going. If the 9sp auto in the Chrysler 200 is a benchmark then it just keeps jumping around cuz its always calculating which gear would provide the best economy.

i know its not an option, but DRLs. Specifically those that can't be turned off. They are the worst invention ever. Not only do they trick idiot drivers into thinking their headlights are on when they're not, they also decrease bulb life since the bulbs are always on...
