Full disclosure: I came to read the comments & am commenting in the hope that you'll see this Jolie & promote me please!

Yay! The perfect opportunity to be like one of those people who hate the show but feel the need to comment on an article which is either neutrally or positively slanted towards Girls ie, a clumsy way of me saying I like Girls, this article does not & I'm overjoyed to show up to the comments to say fuck yeah Girls!

Which affliction & which town, pray tell? I too am in/from a certain South Oz town & must know these things for research purposes! It seems like the kind of thing I should've heard about by now.

Weight loss tea from my very skinny & passive aggressive mother-in-law. The parents-in-law were visiting from the upper hemisphere & invited themselves for Xmas even when we told them not to come (for reasons related to my own stressful family situation at the time). They came anyway, I got some *lovely* tea & (nearly

I did take antibiotics a few times but it never worked permanently. I've been off Accutane for 7 years now and a few weeks ago I got a bunch of zits crop up, kind of scattered across the middle of my back. Bah >:-/ The skin on my face is overall drier than it was before (although it was never really oily - just

I got my first (and it was a big'un!) zit at age 10, had medium-bad pimples through the rest of primary & high school. It wasn't until my late teens/early 20s that big, red, angry, sore cystic acne kicked in. I suffered through it until I turned 30, at which point I took a course of Accutane. I only wish I'd taken it

I asked the same thing down-a-ways. No response.

Why is wearing jewelled bindis negatively construed as cultural appropriation? Genuine question, no snark. Is it that ALL borrowing from other cultures is bad? Or is there a line to draw? Personally, I think wearing a Native American war bonnet to a music festival is, at best, poor taste. While Katy Perry dressing as

Yes! I was particularly offended by 'Connie'. Some poor old man goes through hell (because of ILLNESS) at the end of his life only to be used as entertainment on this historically great but now eye-rollingly lame thread. I'm totally on board with unexplained/supernatural biz - but not if there's an entirely likely

Everyone seems to love 'Look At Me' which seems obviously like a creative writing exercise? It's vaguely unsettling but so implausible :-/ And 'The Next Cabin Over' where they noticed hand & face marks on the windows? Please. 'M' is just B-grade angst. 'Strangers In The Hallway', omg! I can just imagine the concept

I'm sure a variation of this probably has happened (because people are sick & infinite are the ways this manifests) but this wasn't particularly well told & it 'happened to a friend'. This is at least half the fault of whoever picked this story.

'Chirp' is an urban legend. The re-telling here wasn't particularly good/scary or plausible! The stories which 'happened to a friend of mine'... dubious.

I did this today :( I went into the third cubicle, all happy that I had the place to myself so I could do my dirty business. I'd juuuust sat down when I hear someone come in. Painful clenching ensues. Another 2 or 3 people come & go. Meanwhile I'm sweating & in agony for nearly 10 minutes. I don't know why but I think

Totally OT (sorry): I figured you're probably from the UK if you're matter-of-factly an atheist (seems to be less common in the US), then I was like woah! and your username is a minor character from my most favourite episode of The Young Ones, the one where they go on University Challenge, how obscure etc. I was

Hello and thanks : ) I totally agree. As we're not talking about 100 years ago in the Arctic, there's absolutely no excuse for wearing fur but I was trying to express my opinion as open-mindedly as possible. I wasn't sure if my comment would be responded to but from having followed Jezebel for the past 5 years, I

I'm assuming it's real because the author said wearing mink/fox/sable is a symbol of wealth, which I take to mean faux fur is not. It looks real, but I can't really tell.

Please, don't judge my abhorrence of needless cruelty.

Nothing to do with race. It's cruel in almost all circumstances, the one exception being maybe if you're living in a cold climate & fur is a necessity.

That's weird, I thought wearing fur was a sign you're thoughtless, cruel & vain to the nth degree.
