And the middle candy bar was a classic Hershey, but Don didn't choose it.

The Suitcase and The Summer Man will turn out to be literally the middle two episodes of the entire series. In the first, Don appears to hit rock bottom and loses Anna. In the next, he seems to be trying to turn a new, introspective leaf, but the effort proves short-lived.
Would you believe it takes TWO kids to play the mostly-mute Gene Draper? Twins Evan and Ryder Londo are credited with this role.
We've already seen Midge's story play out in S4 — I assume she has OD'd on heroin by now. It would be interesting for Suzanne Farrell (S3) or Faye Miller (S4) or even Bobbie Barrett (S2) to pop up again. What are the odds of Duck Phillips staggering by?
About 16 months ago. She wore it in the season 7A opener, Time Zones, which took place in January, 1969, IIRC. The most recent episode took place in May, 1970. Season 6 opened with Don and Megan in Hawaii.
Also, almost a year has passed since that phone conversation in July 1969, and Megan's career has stalled out. She's feeling frustrated on many levels.
I was thinking of S2 Bobby's conversation with Don about Don's father, which ended with Bobby's woeful "We have to get you a new daddy." http://www.papermag.com/201…
That fact that we haven't heard anything definitive about Cutler suggests we may see him again yet. Or not. Hard to tell with this show.
Well, 5 Bobbys (which turned up as a joke in "The Better Half" when Bobby Draper explained that "I'm Bobby 5" at the summer camp). They really lucked out with Kiernan Shipka, who made the most of her limited lines in the first 2 seasons and showed she could progress to more demanding material. The little tyke…
He did say "Bye, Daddy" when he got out of Don's car in the S5 opener. His back was to the camera, so I'm pretty sure it was dubbed in later.
Hamm's guest spot on GG was such a wasted opportunity.
Splooshy for neighbor lady, Francine, too. Didn't she ask if he needed help in the bathroom?
What Don did for Suzanne and her epileptic brother suggested a connection to me.
It was the opening scene of "Chinese Wall," season 4, episode 11.
Plus, they live in a luxury high-rise with 24-hour doorman service. Aunt Ida should never have gotten into that building.
I wonder what would be so time-consuming about courtroom scenes. Multiple camera angles to cover the various speaking parts?
"B- ? JOKE"
More like C-, at best. This show is one long, very bad joke itself.
"Having Alicia go head-to-head against Cary and Diane in court could be a really fun opportunity for the show to get back to the basics…"
Surely the writers of this show realize that the State's Attorney is a *manager* who does not appear in court?
Renee is one of those faux-Christians I despise. So much "jesus, religion, church, jesus" talk, but she can't bother to show gratitude and sensitivity when obviously imposing on her daughter and son-in-law. When there is ONE bathroom for four people, you make sure its available for others' necessities (e.g., peeing…
"it was refreshingly honest about how, well, parents have to be douchebags sometimes. When Haddie’s 21? None of this will be a problem. But she’s 16, and that means her parents have to step in and let her know she’s not ready to deal with some of this."
