I am in a similar situation, I had the idea that we would move back to his country so I started learning the language. Download Duolingo now, spend at least 30 mins a day learning. I’ve been working at it for about 3 years now I think (maybe 2?) and have a basic understanding of the language and can read it. Its Greek

You have to qualify to get it though, I’ve seen people try to get it when something bad happens and be denied.

YES! If you live in a major city where vet care is expensive it is 100% worth it. Might not seem like it when they are young but when they get older and diseases start happening you will be thankful. My dog was recently diagnosed with lymphoma. There is NO WAY I could pay for the treatment on my own no matter how much

Reading this on my 27" iMac Mid-2010. I recently upgraded to an SSD and am running high sierra. I honestly don’t notice too much of a difference other than waking it up from sleep taking a bit longer than my newer Mac gear.

Have an NB in the garage. I have a scooter I use for the majority of my driving, the Miata is for taking my dog places and / or going somewhere farther than I feel like driving the scoot or when it rains. Paid cash for it, have Metromile insurance so I pay based on how much I drive. The costs of owning it at this

“regularly sanitizing cars” lol.

There are still dealerships in CA that are open.

I was coming here to say that. 2 wheels wins and it makes it FEEL shorter too. Or maybe you get so used to not dealing with being stuck that when you do drive a car its just extra miserable.

Maybe not panic buying but I’m sure there are plenty of people who think they will be able to go in now and get a great deal. So despite endangering themselves, the people who are forced to work there and the public in general they will go SHOPPING for a car.

Are there people who say they are “rolling coal” who are doing it to make their trucks fast or is everything I’ve ever read or seen about these people wrong?

I dunno, modifying your car to actually DO something (like go faster) and a byproduct is failing smog is one thing. But modifying a vehicle to NOT PASS SMOG only is just dumb as fuck.

Exactly. I lived in a place where parking was so bad you’d have to walk 20+ minutes from where you parked. If you saw a spot, ANY spot you tried. 20 point turn, absolutely.

Conversely I learned in an ‘81 Ford Escort wagon, with power steering that didn’t work which is WORSE than no power steering at all. Combine that with later living in a place with unbelievably little parking and I am a MASTER at it.

For awhile when I used to get them, I’d open them and then stuff everything (envelope I just opened included) back into the envelope they provided and send it back to them. I very very rarely get any anymore and I have excellent credit. Is that why? Who knows but it felt good.

Then this wouldn’t apply to you?

I do and hopefully anywhere that has bread and butter.

A cheap cassette adaptor works well too, especially if you live somewhere that finding a free FM station is impossible.

I assumed we liked big cars to feel “safer” since being better drivers is apparently not an option.

That’s what I always thought, they still look good now! I wanted one since the 90s, my first car was an ‘87 Celica ST since I couldn’t afford the newer bodied one.

Yes!
