You’re supposed to do this in the Sims, not in real life!
You’re supposed to do this in the Sims, not in real life!
Did you know there are still people who will invite you over to their house under the pretense of doing a wholly non-child-related activity and then spring a three inch high stack of baby photos on you? I wouldn’t have minded so much, except that I’ve never even met this child (she was asleep when I came over). There…
I am currently sewing together an afghan that I made from wool because I’m a fricking wool snob and I have such regrets. Should have done it in acrylic. I would have saved so much money and it would have been washable and durable and less fuzzy and less itchy.
My now-husband and I were doing this before we got married (February). It feels so good to know we’re not the only ones this sad.
I’m married to a fat dude who feels horrible about how he looks and is constantly afraid that people are judging him. I am in agreement with you and I don’t really understand why people are so angry that this “dadbod” thing might make men feel better about themselves. Dragging men down so they feel just as bad about…
Kate Beaton perfectly explains why I just got my shoulder-length hair cut short again:
When you’ll find someone who loves you, they’ll make the effort to understand. A person who loves you would rather that you be safe and happy than suffering just to prove that you have suffered. I wish you all the best in finding someone!
I got to hear my husband sob when his mother got some digs in about our wedding (before AND afterward). It’s awful having someone you love feel worthless in that way.
Fun IUD thing to do: Ask people who don’t have one (especially men), how big they think an IUD is. Everyone I’ve asked seems to think that the “armspan” is about 10 cm. Then you can make fun of them for being wrong.
We have an old geezer in our department who likes to recommend rejection of papers by people who aren’t established yet in the field, especially women, because obviously if they are just starting out, they don’t know anything yet and can’t be trusted. And women shouldn’t even be doing science anyway. He’s about 85…
I would guess that people who don’t wear a lot of makeup regularly are more likely to volunteer, because it’s a fun treat for them to get their makeup done and see how they look. People who already wear makeup all the time might be less likely because they already know how to do it in a way that suits them.
That’s exactly my problem. Their arbitrary requirements make it less secure, not more. And all of the templates I use to create passwords don’t work because they have >8 characters, so I’m forced to use a stupid, shitty password. Oh well. What is anyone going to do once they hack into my university accounts? Check my…
My university is HORRIBLE for this. Here are the rules for changing your password. It also can’t contain three or more characters in a row that you used in a previous password. I used to use “fuckoff1” because it met all of their idiotic requirements.
