Assuming the VAs agree to it, yeah, that probably wouldn’t be an issue.

Update from the SWT folks:
He was not, in fact, the second biggest donor to the Dems. Nowhere near. He gave a lot, no question, but he wasn’t anywhere near the top.
She deserves every dollar she’s gonna get for this mishegas, but it’s probably going to take a while, unfortunately. Assuming that both Twitchcon and the promotional company have insurance, they’re going to be fighting to make the other side take full responsibilty, so it’s unlikely there’s going to be a settlement…
There are two ways to interpret your comment:
The poses do look like some of the ‘classic’ minstrel show art poses. If this had been a random race of space-cat-people, with no slavery history, then some of the poses could be chalked up to mere coincedence.
They do have examples of this - the Githyanki/Githzerai escaped from slavery at the hands of the Mind Flayers, and now hunt down the Mind Flayers whenever they can.
I can kind of understand what they were going for, even if they horribly screwed it up. Some kind of Island of Dr. Moreau thing, with mad scientists experimenting on animals to make them sentient. In and of itself, that’s fine.
Reminds me of a Sartre quote about the futility of trying to engage with anti-semites:
Sir, this is a Wendy’s.
A mid-30s percentage wouldn’t be half bad, especially considering many companies tend to promote from within, and how video game/tech companies have historically not been particularly eager to let women advance.
Damn you, Bobby Kotick, for making me feel bad for notorious torture apologist Fran Townsen- wait, no, don’t feel bad for her at all, nevermind.

In response, Ubisoft will be rolling out two new reporting platforms that they guarantee will handle all complaints with the respect they deserve: Incinérateur and Trou Noir.
I read it more as “Original content warning underplayed how central the more difficult themes were to the story, and most people are asking for an updated content warning explaining that those themes are a central part of the main story, since the game is marketed as a mostly-lighthearted romp. A few people want the…
Gotcha, no argument there. Given the disparities in the number of men and women in the software dev job pool, and the similar white vs non-white numbers, I don’t think anyone reasonably expects the team to be fully representative of the population at large.
If this were a five person team, or the studio was in the middle of nowhere, you’d have a point. But they have a 21-person team, in Montreal (a large, diverse city with a lot of software dev talent), and they somehow ended up with 20 white guys out of 21?
“We totally interviewed some women and non-white people, but just by chance happened to only hire a bunch of white dudes. MERITOCRACY!”
From what I understand, patching rollback netcode into an existing game, as opposed to building it in from the start, is significantly harder.
Agreed, it comes down to the legal aspect. The reason real CP is banned is (obviously) because of the harm to the actual child. With drawings/3D models, there’s no actual child, so US First Amendment precedent (generally) says that there’s no compelling government interest that would override First Amendment…
