I know this conversation took place a while ago, but all I want to say is that I love science, hate creationism, and trust the people I work alongside with PhD’s in theater and history who are on team De Vere. (Or are we still comparing them to Sandy Hook truthers?) People far smarter than me, and who are much better

I loved this article so much. I am a female in my 20's in recovery (I literally attended my second AA meeting earlier this evening). I realize the irony that my burner account’s name even references “vino” in it. Alcoholism is a hard disease, and unfortunately very common. I found this article inspiring and I want to

Would you bet $10,000 that you are right? Are you that confident?

Dude, chillax.

I take that as a compliment! My fellow grad students are all really cool people. :)

I’ve let my emotions cool on the subject and regret coming off as someone who “knows it all” about the subject. I like the fact that there is still mystery surrounding the authorship question. That’s what keeps me interested in it.

You must admit there is something funny about the vitriol that comes out of a good ole fashioned Oxford vs. Shakspere debate.

You got reamed because Stratfordians are just coasting on “but everybody believes this! How could we be wrong for so long??” When people know they’re losing an argument is when they tend to get their most volatile.

Anyway, make your point and let them foam at the month in indignation. The tide is going to turn towards

Good luck. All the Stratfordians on the comments here tend to just be like, “SHUT UP”, and “YOU SUCK,” and “YOU HATE BABEEZ!”

There’s no point in trying to reason with them.

I wouldn’t say I’m on the fringe. I know your main argument is that I’m a crazy Earth-hating Sandyhook-denier, but if you could please quit the personal attacks for a moment, that would be the best way to continue the conversation.

Everyone I know at the school I go to is either an Oxfordian or open-minded enough to

No. But they’re also not nearly as good. I do think Shakespeare’s plays are on a whole other level. The literary allusions, the allusions to De Vere’s personal life, are all way better than anything else anyone was writing at the time. I just re-read Dr Faustus a couple weeks ago, and whole time just kept thinking,

Listen. You love the plays, I love the plays. We weren’t there. None of us know for sure, and I get that you don’t want the person you think was the writer to be disrespected. That said, I would really hesitate to dismiss everyone as anti-intellectual who you don’t see eye-to-eye with. I live and work in academia and

I have to admit, that was kind of cute. :)

I’m a graduate student in theatre and I love “Shakespeare” and want to know for sure who wrote those plays. I read a lot of book on the subject and am allowed to have opinion.

You, on the other hand, are someone who pulls out environmental devastation and a pile of dead pre-schoolers out for lark on anonymous internet

You sound like a real intellectual who cares about the truth and has spent a lot of time researching the subject!

“Stop and put yourself to bed.”

Really? Look, I get that you’re passionate about the subject. It’s touchy. I understand that. That said you can’t blame me for not wanting to spend much more time with you if that’s the way you begin your response. I don’t often comment on the internet. I remember it’s because everything

You guys know it’s Edward de Vere’s birthday which should be celebrated, right? I, too, used to be a Strafordian. But the facts speak for themselves. Shaksper of Stratford was an illiterate and Edward wrote those plays. Don’t feel like getting into a huge argument on the internet about this but it makes me sad every
