I think these things are what you make of them. Even in my 20's the idea of getting hammered and grinding on a stranger to celebrate someone’s wedding didn’t appeal to me.

Rounded up my yarn stash from various cupboards. Turns out the random moths in our house are clothes moths 😖. We live in the woods so an occasional moth/spider/beetle isn’t out of the ordinary so I didn’t think anything of seeing them now and then.

It depends on where it is. It can be cheaper since they’re usually smaller (because who is going to spend a lot of money/time for a mere acquaintance?).

A friend of mine got married last fall and bragged that she only spent $10K I nearly fell over when she said that. Her wedding was very nice but did not seem like $10,000 worth of fun.

OMG! Or you could have a “punch and mints” reception where you just have a receiving line and serve punch and butter mints. Those were really popular in my church when I was growing up 😂
