Really more that KJA was just notoriously a work for hire author who spent the 90s churning out forgettable tie-in novels for whatever franchise was popular that week.

I’d argue that’s the problem: he’s an assertively bland author. Not BAD, but also not remarkable.

IMHO the writing in Dune prequals (and also the sequals/conclusion) was “fine”. Everything else (story/plot/characterization) was mediocre at best and cringey bad Dune fan-fic at worst. They also have the exact same

The government has a legal mandatory requirement to citizens to purchase a for-profit product but corporations don’t have a legal requirement to provide it.

Re: Duel of the Fates-I liked a lot of things about both Force Awakens and Last Jedi. But the fact that Disney launched this trilogy in this huge franchise without deciding beforehand on an overall direction for the entire thing is still incredible to this day. I cannot believe they messed this up.

KK sure did them dirty. Complaining that comedic improvisers were... improvising comedy. Oh no! The monsters! What with their monstrously successful track record and all! They must respect the sanctity of a dull nepo-baby script!

Their career may have been as fucked as the other steaming director wrecks left in Star

In some ways it IS kind of like they just met and decided it.

Its Elon. They’re all doin it because he is setting the shitty standard and the rest of stupid sheep.

The company town is not an innovation, you clod!

What the eff is wrong with corporate executives anymore?! I mean they’ve always been pretty shitty, but it seems like they had a meeting and voted to all simultaneously go full-on asshole.

Maybe Dominos could make better pizza. In my area there is no Pizza Hut or Little Caesers. It’s just dominos and a local chain. I normally go for the local chain.

It will do what now? Why would we fucking rewrite what we know about a character that spans 9 god damn books over 3000 pages of lore and a videogame franchise????

That “mob” IS Reddit.

Hilariously ironic statement since they have relied on free labor to literally “run it” for the site’s entire existence, while profiting billions from them.

You should see the amount of checks and triple checks required to do normal refi if it occurs in Florida nowadays. The wife says the place is awash in fraud and it her bosses do onlye the absolute safest of loans with good reason. She wouldn’t want to touch anything related to doing business in the state nowadays

They really don’t take it well when you post on their social media that it’s socialism for the state to act as the insurer of last resort. They should just let the markets do their thing man.

Also, if any industry should focus on ESG— or at least the E part— it’s insurance, and especially in the state that gets pounded by multiple hurricanes every year.

I would take credit for that, but it’s like predicting the sun will rise or that Trump will call prosecution of his crimes a witch hunt. I’m sure deSantis will blame his inevitable primary loss on wokeness.

Didn’t we discuss exactly this on (another site) just a little while ago, and confidently predict that Florida would be blaming it on wokeness ASAP?

Once again, insurance companies do not give a fuck about politics. All they care about is math and money. If the math doesn’t add up to money, they will go do business somewhere else. If the practice ESG or believe in diversity, it is because those things make them money, not because they are being run by “woke
