I’m getting the feeling that Mr. Chapek isn’t going to last very long as the CEO of Disney. He’s made several poor decisions in his short tenure at the helm of the house of mouse that has turned his employees and customers against him. Profit above all else will probably win the day, sadly.

Ehhhhhh... Its not really all that easy to get a plane that size, going the speed it was going, to go straight down in the first place and you’ve got a co-pilot. The plane itself would fight you the whole way trying to get into that.  It’d be more believable as intentional if it was just a steep angle down.

There are all kind of reasons for why a plane would crash in that manner. It could have stalled in a steep bank, resulting in a drop to the low wing side that the pilots could not recover from. 

Yea a straight-down crash like that isn’t common - I’m leaning towards severe mechanical failure or even pilot suicide.

Probably because many people, like me, assumed it was a Max plane and I was reading to find out if it was. Clarification, especially with so much recent Boeing controversy, was appreciated.
