I had the CinemaSins man in my head afterwards:
“He’s taking his jetpack off so that he’ll build trust between him and the stranger, also because the screenwriter demanded it for later.” +1 *Ding*
I was very surprised when I saw RRs name on the end credits, because my impression of the episode was pretty mixed. I remember thinking during the ground battle, that the director really muddled things up, and I found the action both confusing and poorly paced. Not exactly bad, just not great.
**************SPOILER*****…
I will say when they flew to the planet, I thought “oh look, just a stop by southern california!”
I’m just wondering what the reason was for Fett to demand Mando take off his jetpack other than “Because plot” so he couldn’t get to Grogu in time.
Did the live action set feel more like a fan film than a fully backed Star Wars production to anyone else? I was getting more of a ‘some folks went out to the California badlands to film some stuff over the weekend’ vibe than ‘this is a full budget professionally filmed production’ vibe. Maybe the post-processing was…
Why have an AI ethicist on your staff if you’re unwilling to accept some difficult truths?
No way. It’s actually immersive and relieves eye strain (even if you don’t have a playstrip, you should have some sort of bias lighting behind your TV).
It’s too expensive for now, but definitely not a gimmick.
I can not wrap my mind around the idea that people think this way. I know they do but...Globar Danm It!
You’re just mocking us now aren’t you.
I mean, I’m not blaming one country in particular for why Disney has little to no representation in its films - actively cutting it out in some cases - but I don’t think they release their television shows in China.
Disney TV is doing excellent. This does not excuse every other part of Disney from failing utterly.
The Republicans have a double standard while Democrats stupidly believe it’s a universal standard.
In a way, it’s very rational. The core demographic of the GOP are white men over the age of 60. Most of them are on their way out, and don’t give a shit about anybody other than themselves, so they may as well maximize their time left.
The problem is that the Democrats never hold Republican accountable for their criminality.
Death cult is core GOP value.
This is an ignorant take.
Heh, true - but I could use the same to describe the last season of Lost. And most of them for his Trek movies and Rise of Skywalker. Everything JJ does eventually turns into a train wreck.
I doubt the series was ever meant to continue past the large time skip in the narrative, so I don’t think they’re going to have to rush to tie it all off. Maybe there’ll be another series to continue the story post-skip?
Well, we don’t know if they’re even going use anything from the final 3 books, which take place decades later and are essentially a sequel trilogy The end of book 6 -almost- wraps things up nicely enough for a 6-season TV series.
