My Steam Deck arrived yesterday. It includes a Kingston OM3PDP3512B-A01 which has read speeds of up to 2,400Mhz - which means it’s a 2x SSD.

Yep. UE5 has completely re-engineered the way open worlds work. In the past, you had to handle level streaming yourself - in UE5, it’s pretty much automagic.

The Starfield preview gives me the feeling that Star Citizen already more to do than Starfield will ever have. Starfield has some great graphics, but the gameplay looks like the same grind as NMS but with some Fallout 3 style ARPG trappings slapped on, and even less ship gameplay.

I was going to skip it based on how badly they botched Avengers. Then the good reviews poured in and I ALMOST bought it... but they included Denuvo with the PC version and people literally lost access to the game they purchased shortly after launch as a result. I won’t pay for malware, so it was a hard pass for me.

To be faaaaiiiiiiir - FF XIV is definitely more of an RPG than Cyberpunk 2077.

Other than Witcher 3, I don’t know how anyone could argue that AC, GoW, Horizon, or Diablo qualify as RPGs in any way, shape, or form. Those are all action games. WoW is arguable.

Full disclosure, I have a reservation and I intend to purchase one of these. I love it the way a pet owner loves an especially ugly pet.
