And here I’ve been trying [unsuccessfully] to get one for six months.

Yesterday alone I spent an hour fighting Gamestop’s relentlessly overbearing captchas in an attempt to secure one... again, unsuccessfully. And that’s merely the latest in a several-times-a-week ritual of hopelessness.

My wife and I are on the iPhone upgrade program, so we grab new iPhones every year. That’s pretty much it, though. No new Macs, iPads, HomePods, Watches, or Apple TVs... just the phones.

TBH, I haven’t seen a need to upgrade any of my Apple items other than the iPhone in years. These days Apple’s upgrades are just

So long as thieves can’t just deactivate them indiscriminately, I’d call this an upgrade over AirTags. This I can put my bike or OneWheel or camera bag... and if some lowlife runs off with it, I can find them and my stuff.

With AirTags, they can steal whatever they like and just deactivate the tracker.

Yes, I am mad

I’m sure the queen makes her own golden wiis at least ten times per day. She is 95 years old, after all.

I would also add that if you aren’t willing to kill and butcher an animal yourself, you shouldn’t be eating that animal.

And yes, if you kill an animal (legally) you should be required to make full use of it. If that was done here, then I have no problem with it, even if the subjects were evil NRA stooges.

How does this compare to Nemesis, which has really become the definitive unlicensed Alien board game?

...a debate that AOC has expressed no intention whatsoever to engage in.

I quite like my Capsule II - we use it for “drive-in movie nights” in the backyard. The kids will get in their little electric cars and we’ll all watch a movie together after the sun sets. It also mounts to a regular old camera tripod, so it’s perfect for quick, impromptu, outdoor movie nights. The speaker is pretty

North Carolina, though?

As a Californian, I feel a little betrayed. There’s plenty of land northwest of LA or San Diego with plenty of local engineering talent in the area. Why not there?

Sony should maybe team up with Google Stadia.

Stadia just works so well (assuming you don’t also subscribe to G-Suite/Google Apps), it’s genuinely impressive. PS Now... it’s always been hot garbage. Slow response times, poor resolution, really bad compression artifacts... that’s not acceptable in 2021 (or 2020, or

Takeout contributor Danny Palumbo recently wrote about how the fries at beloved West coast burger chain In-N-Out are very bad.

At the core of the American education problem is that it’s not about the students [as individuals] at all. It doesn’t want or need to students to better themselves for their own benefit, it’s about turning out good little hard-working cogs for the machine; cogs who will work hard to make their masters money and don’t

Profiles with in-depth Parental Permissions is something I’ve been insisting we need for, oh, OVER A DECADE.

Hopefully the Epic lawsuit and multiple antitrust probes put these kinds of insanities behind us. I don’t need Apple or Discord to tell me what I can or can’t view or install on the pocket computing device which I purchased and own. This needs to end. Now.

When you buy an RV that costs more than most houses...

...scheduled for a July 23, 2021 theatrical release date.

I have dozens of Echos and HomePods all over my house.

Apple’s HomeKit offering trounces all over Alexa in terms of power and reliability. No, Siri is not nearly as smart as Alexa... not even close, but if home automation is your aim, you just cannot beat HomeKit.

The same goes for Apple TV. None of its competitors come

My reaction on hearing they were doing a live-action PPG: oh no.

My reaction on seeing actual grown women dressed like the PPGs: oh no.

My initial thoughts on the 6-2 decision...

It’s all that cross-breeding with lizard people.

I’ll bet he has double eyelids, too.
