The touchpad only really came into its own with Ghost of Tsushima. It’s not just “a button” but a whole bunch of additional functions. Sure you can just press it (location aware), but you can also do gestures/swipes on it (also location aware). I expect it to see a lot more use in PS5.

I actually have a couple spare NVME drives lying around - one Samsung and one Sabrent. Had I been able to secure a PS5 preorder (thanks bots), I would be able to report back on that this weekend. Unfortunately, I can’t even speculate about when I’ll be able to get my hands on one. Hopefully someone else is able to run

And it supports 1440P out of the box, so it’s compatible with QHD gaming monitors! I’ve always been a PC gamer first and a Playstation gamer second... but serious props to Microsoft for this console.

No APK means this tool is literally useless. I really hate how antagonistic Apple is towards developers wanting to, you know, use their devices the way developers are wont to do.

I was expecting maybe $60 with the brick included, or $80 for “definitely overpriced but still within the realm of possibility that I would buy one before a big trip, if those ever happen again”.

But this thing is more than TWICE as expensive than it should be. I don’t know how this price is justifiable. It’s as bad

“I have found that the great majority of alleged assaults of Ms Heard by Mr Depp have been proved to the civil standard.”

Oh man, it’s been so long I didn’t realize how bad the prequels looked. I remember the narratives being horrible, but I don’t remember the awful, completely unbelievable, devoid-of-any-physicality CG. Ouch. That has not aged well.

If either this or Playstation 5 were to support Kb/M and 4k-equivalent Super/Ultrawide as first class peripherals, I would literally retire my gaming PC.
I actually like gaming with a Gamepad in most cases, but in games that require a lot of aiming, gamepads are a hard “no from me, dog.” Also, I am absolutely obsessed

it sets the precedent that if companies don’t like a law, they can simply buy a new one.

I suspect that this type of behavior will carry on for a few days should Trump win or lose

I think it’s time to bow out. Not that $2/mo is a lot of money, but there’s so little on Netflix worth watching any more. They’ve become less valuable to me and my household than CBS All Access which, let’s be honest, is garbage. Even Apple has been putting out better content than Netflix. How did that even happen?

Not paying attention to the news?

They’re running out of cash. Even on life support, businesses can’t last forever with no income. AMC has already informed Wall Street that they’ll be insolvent by the end of the calendar year. The other chains aren’t far behind.

There’s no way theaters are reopening by then. We’re officially in a second wave, worse than the first, with no vaccine in sight, and a third wave all but guaranteed following the holidays. Hedging bets on theatrical release any time in the next 12-18 months is a massive mistake... and when it is eventually safe

The film’s release has been postponed until April 2021 in order to preserve the theatrical experience for moviegoers

I just punted my K95 Platinum Linear in favor of a Logitech G95 Clicky and I am never going back.

I use delivery A LOT, and have had drivers personally ask me to vote yes on 22. I know that some people WANT to be treated as employees, but that REALLY seems like a vocal minority from where I’m sitting. That’s not how the gig economy is supposed to work.

Furthermore, I can’t imagine a model in which these companies

You chamfer AirBnBs edges, Jony.

That was just a conceptual failure from the get-go. It’s the bad kind of spin-off, like the Ewok movies in the 80s. It took me four attempts to watch the whole thing because the movie elicited only the feelings of boredom and annoyance in constant rotation.

“This isn’t a nostalgic throw-back, it’s a creative lean-forward and it’s a blast to be a part of it all,” Howard said.

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups (especially the Big Cups) are the best. You are wrong.
