Trader Joe’s is selling “maple water.” According to the label, it’s sap directly from the tree, without being boiled down. It’s $2.99 for 32 oz of water. Considering that it takes about 40 parts of sap to boil down to 1 part of syrup, you’re paying $2.99 for the equivalent of maybe a tablespoon of maple syrup.
