And the right kind of herpes

I can’t unsee it

You call that rust? Around here anything you can’t put your head thru the bodywork is considered mint.

I have generally thought the same thing. Logic states that if the engine and tranny are new then there is really no real reason to sell it. If you went to the trouble of paying for a rebuild, then you should ride that pony until it keels over dies. If it is bad sell it for chump change as a parts car. This applies to

Wagon? German? Fast? Awesome.

What we've got here is a $5,000 car with a $5,000 supercharger kit and a $5,000 transmission swap that the seller is trying to eek a few grand out of the other questionable mods. I know because I paid $5,500 for a better looking 2002 540i Touring with the factory M Sport package and I was looking into a manual swap

Pass. When you throw something like a supercharger on an engine that wasn’t designed for it, all kinds of bad shit happens downstream. That, and the seller can’t provide complete details.

You got a Cobalt, and the world knows.

You’d be lucky if just the turbos failed.

This. Any VW AG vehicle approaching 100k miles is automatic CP.

Was his stage name B-Shoc? Was he Christ-Like Cruisin in that Cav?

I usually sell my used British cars to a CarMax just before the warranty expires so I can read Jalopnik articles about some other poor fucking bastard trying to keep them running under an extended warranty.

You can keep your gold fish in here.

Come on, it’s a Jaguar. That’s never going to happen.

When I see that, all I can think of is one fine morning, I’m in a hurry to get to work and the motor that makes it go up fails.

Rust made that car. Wait; that car was made of rust.

Its a very nice car, but its not an E28 or and E39. I would say $15k at most, which is close to what is sold for last time.

Fantasic car, lots of fun for the money and a future collectible. However your $19,000 is just the down payment on the maintenance and upkeep.

The average new car price in this country is just over $33,000. At thousands less for a hand-built British exotic car that was more than five times that amount when new, I’d call that dirt cheap.
