Eh, if the general game design is poor, no amount of extra work will fix it. Now if they're just trying to tighten up the graphics, add a new level, or fix a bug then there is very little to worry about.

They should have kept the touch pad. I use my dualshock 4 on PC and the touchpad is invaluable. It makes all "partially supported" controller games fully supported. I can move around mouse menus and server browsers easily.

An "affordable" steam machine couldn't run dual hd monitors and support 8 player splitscreen for most any game. Now if you get one of those $2000 steam machines, it would be possible but it won't outsell any console at that price.

The ps3 could support up to 8 controllers. It wasn't really used except for Pixeljunk racer and Madden(6 players).
