Excellent job by that water taxi captain to see the issue and respond quickly.

Insert "that's what heroes do" gif here.

The yoke comes with the optional drive-by-wire system.  Normal (default) system has the normal wheel.

Doesn’t this platform lose more than normal amounts of range in the cold to go with its already low range?

EV owner here with a hot take: 1-2 hours of extra charging on a road trip is a big deal, especially when you’re only taking a 4 hour trip. That said, there’s no mention of DCFC recharge times here.

Tesla set the standard years ago with 25-35 min 0-80% charge times, which have been bested by 18 min times by Hyundai/Kia

But what if the Vail house doesn't have a charger? Think of how terrifying it is!

It’s not what you actually do, it’s what you MIGHT do. Most people are aspirational, and intent to do far more than they actually do.

These are the same people who must own an f350 for that one possible time they need to tow a huge trailer that they don't own yet but could

The EPA rates the base RZ at 220 miles, but if you get a model with 20-inch wheels, that drops to just 196 miles. While that frankly laughable range isn’t the entire story, it will be a fact many buyers in the U.S. struggle to get past.

Lamborghini has to make this list, so I will nominate perhaps the weirdest one of them all: Egoista

UK pricing suggest this thing is aimed primarily outside of North America. Maybe if this does well the powertrain goes into American sized vehicles? Because I agree, my freshman in high school is going to hate sitting behind 6'4" me in this thing.

That’s nice but it needs more roof.

I feel the same way about the Mini EV. Just remove the rear seat and make a flat floor for a larger cargo area. Might even help bump the range a bit to take some more weight out of the car.

“BMW Individual M760Li xDrive Model V12 Excellence THE NEXT 100 YEARS” has entered the chat.

Those rear seats, seem was too close to me.  Perhaps just fold them down permanently, have basically a 2+2 hatchback.  You know, I’d get it for that.

Agreed that this drivetrain very likely previews what we can expect to see in a future hybrid Miata.

This went from one of the most irrelevant cars to the most interesting that I would actually consider

I swear Mazda is intent on pissing me off with this car. I love the look and the coupe-ish door arrangement and I’d dearly love one. Hearing a range extender was coming gave me hope (especially a rotary one!) but the smaller battery and disappointing DCFC charge rate just suck.

Four things:

The car names are TOO DAMN LONG!
