I will get a new bit when circumstances change.

People wonder why traffic deaths are at or near an all-time high.”

Well the answer so far is to increase the requirements for car occupant safety which thickens the pillars, shrinks the windows, raises the beltlines, raises the hood height, etc.

I know weight was not revealed here, but what are we going to do about the huge increase in passenger vehicle weights? This is a scary trend to me, along with the SUV/Truck boom of the last 10 years. People wonder why traffic deaths are at or near an all-time high. There has to be some correlation to large and heavier

That interior, along with the full size suicide doors, is likely not making it to production.

I thought it was pretty well known that Ford with the Lightning was pushing to be first in this segment which meant making a lot of compromises. Kinda... testing the fence a bit if you will? This current gen is supposed to be short lived with the next gen on a dedicated platform and probably better since they will

Agreed.

This looks cool as a concept but as the article notes its most likely going to be huge and heavy. Cant wait for another 4 ton death machine with supercar acceleration to be on the roads. Good stuff.

That thing looks awesome! Why not sell it here?!

Excited Ford dealer making the pitch: “It’s like a Canoo, but it exists!”

so basically less luxurious Toyota Alphard / Lexus LM but it’s purely EV

I’d probably hurt the range pretty badly but they do have a trail version in Europe as well, although at that point I’d probably just go for the PHEV.

It is almost entirely about aesthetics. Big wheels look cooler, and people put more thought and money into looks than they do into ride quality, puncture resistance, curb-rash likelihood, and unsprung weight. The one notable exception to this is that everybody seems to be buying Crossovers now and most of them look

Agreed, not sure why manufacturers thinks we all want skinny tires/large wheels.  If this was in US, I would considered this over a Toyota or Honda Van for a family hauler.

Incredible Abraham Lincoln vibes here

No, it won’t

Why are you even reading and commenting then ?!?

Here’s a 30 sec PS job without the grill.. not great, but better than the massive kidneys. Thought about adding small ones, but its an EV, which doesn’t need a grill. Needs something..

Noped. Won’t do it for me.

Fully Networked Vehicle (FNV) architecture- this and any system like it are major red flags for me. I never plan on owing a car with any remotely controlled software or features.
