See also Amazon “Fire”: it’s TV! It’s a tablet! It’s a usb stick! It’s a phone! Etc.

Was the self-driving car a Volvo? I wonder what the implications are for the carmaker’s “zero deaths” campaign.

In my experience, turn signals are far less commonly used on any Prius than a BMW. Also, DRLs at night. FFS.

Not bad! I hope the blacked out A-pillars remain for the production car.

Holy crap, you’re right! I’m gonna fire it up right now!

Good call.

The original Gone in 60 Seconds is criminally underrated.

My uncle found a VHS copy in the mid-80s and I am proud to say I saw it as a wide-eyed, car-crazy ten-year-old. Permanently burned in my brain. I saw Bullitt years later and kinda thought “Cool, but it’s no hour-long car LA car chase.”

Doesn’t the Ford GT count as a production American MR car?

Eager to join in on the fun. Find me @parkedinbellingham

I wanna put Titanium ones on my Previa.

Or a flyaway brake handle. Weird either way.

With some head- and taillamp styling mods, it’s what a Chrysler 200 could have been. RIP. But otherwise, it looks very Japanese for a French car.

I rented a ‘16 4Runner SR5 in Utah and drove a 1,200 miles over 9 days. It was solid and rugged (it had fewer than 100 miles on the clock), but pales in comparison to my buddy’s 100-Series LC. They both get the same mileage in the mid-teens. Sightlines out of the 4Runner were also inferior - it had the same pillbox

...it’s for people who want all the vowels in their vehicle’s name...? Beyond that, I don’t get it. It’s just a Japanese Tahoe.

Courses and horses, right? :)

Very cool 80 Series. A good friend of mine had one and pulled the fender flares - I thought that cleaned it up a great deal.

How much would it take to drop a V8 into this front-driver? Lot$, I am sure. My preference would be a Northstar.

Renault Espace

As would be another midengined, all-or-rear-wheel drive people hauler. (I just picked up a mint ‘94 Previa LE)

And balance that with the income that was earned as a result of having personal mobility.
