I’m on the search for basically the same vehicle for the same need but AWD would be very preferable* - what do you all recommend? I’m thinking first-gen CR-V, or an early RAV4. Am I missing anything else? So far nothing American seems worth a look.

(*I live at the top of a very steep hill in a small town in the PNW -

Yeah, that one sets off my BS meter.

What? Really? :) A high school classmate of mine drove one of these in senior year (1994). I was very jealous. Same color. (I’ve only ever seen them in black or a metal-flake dark purple hue, come to think of it.)

Indeed. Loads and loads of Toyotas and Lexus models in my town. Bizarre and infuriating.

It has!

Mostly I was specifying which photo I was referring to. Yes, I know the decals are there to disguise its true form. I just don’t have a lot of faith that it’s going to be an attractive car. Current proportions to me are too similar to the FWD snoozefest that is/was the Altima coupe. YMMV.

That camo’d turd in the last image looks like an Altima coupe prototype. Dislike. Strong dislike.

TIL! (This sucks!)

But that engine drone tho... Boo.

Saw it last night in the local theater as I did with the original. Decent racing action but geez, quite a bit of crying and too much of Dana. Aaaand this is why I stopped going to shows. Barf.

Props to a guy whose dream truck is a ‘99 Ranger. Seriously. Also, a heartwarming story.

I roll on ENKEIs exclusively

Removing the foglamps to attach to a mountain bike... Riiiiight.

Personally, I like it. Will I buy it? Probably not. But I wouldn’t rule it out. I have a mellow 35-mph-maximum commute of 11 miles in a small Northwestern town.
That said, it rains 11 months a year. So how do I clear the windshield of water on this thing?

Anyone else ever notice that at night, a Juke in the rearview mirror looks a LOT like an old Beetle?

Beats a Sentra!

When I lived in Seattle, my bike commute took me past the shipping terminal south of downtown. All day long, semis transport the cans off of ships to nearby warehouses. With all of the time spent idling, I thought “Short hauling is the perfect application for an electric truck.” In the course of looking into that (it

Question: do the trucks with reefer trailers come standard with Chill Mode? (I’ll just show myself out...)
