Well I agree with you that they should focus on trucks and trucklets, but that ain’t gonna make Cadillac cool. Just profitable.

This beats the crap out of a four-door coupe!
That hero image isn’t that flattering. The proportions of the car look all wrong.
Your comment got me thinking... perhaps that is what Chevy is up to with the mid-engined replacement that’s been long-rumored but now actually under development. If they indeed call it the Zora, this may give it the break you suggest.
Awesome post - love these pics. Very, very cool.
Also, I like to imagine Pope JPII occasionally doing a limbo move while riding in that mini-pontiff wagon.
I got $32.99. Still gonna go for it.

You know that unspoken rule where oncoming cars will flash their high beams to alert you of a speed trap? I think there should be a universal horn ‘code’ for “Hey, I know you’re derping about - please stop using your phone.” Like three quick horn blasts or something.
People in Bellingham, WA take note - it’s **OK** to advance into the intersection while waiting to take a left. Good grief. Seattle people mostly get this, but somehow in my new town, it’s some weird no-no. Light goes back to red, and no one’s moved. (Rage face)
I wouldn’t trust 45 to refill my coffee cup. Why should I think he can do anything remotely complex like this?
Most recent car purchase INDEED informed by environmental considerations - the pollution and waste that went into the production of my E30 happened in late 1983. I have a clean conscience for buying used.
I think there were more people at the reveal of that car than on the National Mall on January 20th.
Sorta but your version still has door handles. ;)
Ya beat me to it. (That’s what I get for failing to check Jalopnik at work today.)
I see a lot of Accord in the rear 3/4, and you also nailed it on the color.
V8-swapped Volvo 242?
Looks like a Racer Pacer.
4th of July... one of my absolute favorites.
Rocketed to/from Whistler for summer trips to the bike park with that first Audioslave album cranked to 11 so many times....
Incredible...wish I could have been so lucky to be there. Phenomenal show. Link for those that haven’t heard it. The Zeppelin cover of “Thank You” is a favorite of mine.
Couple of fast-tempo tracks worth checking out if you have the urge to drive at extralegal speeds: “Ty Cobb” (from Down on the Upside) and a shoo-in for Jalops, “Kyle Petty, Son of Richard”(B-side to Superunknown single “Fell On Black Days”).
Couldn’t bring myself to watch that video of “Redemption Song” until now.....Ugh. :(
