I hope the “Secret Internet” from Die Hard 4 reappears. (Eyes roll back into skull.)

Yeah, bad movie scripts are one inevitable negative outcome, but how about malware being downloaded to web-connected cars by drones?
Perhaps Q knows most cars that will try to pursue Bond are made from CFRP...
Ack - my rhetorical question was in reference to “What’s the difference between the Cayenne and the TMX”. I was just pointing out that the TMX can’t accommodate a roof rack or box.
Certainly better than most of the Fast and Furious flicks, plus a sweet nod to Miami Vice.
Cayenne can carry a roof rack?
Neat!
It seems like a viable approach for bike and pedestrian pathways, but I am a bit skeptical about using this for roadways in the US. It seems these hollow structures might have a weight limit, or would shift under load of a heavy American vehicle.
That is a sweet X-wing fighter! I would have liked to see that take to the streets air like our Rainier Rocket:
Sorry for the humblebrag but we clocked over 40 on course in the Red Bull event last summer. In testing ahead of the event we got it up to 54 mph. :)
Last summer we raced an enormous fiberglass beer bottle in the Red Bull Soapbox derby here in Seattle. It was an incredible day! Onboard video view here.
From a safety perspective, I think that auto up/down on rear windows would be a bad idea. The driver cannot responsibly keep track of kids or pets that might have body parts in the way.
Funny, I was thinking along the same lines last night as I was riding in a friend’s Touareg TDI. While I appreciate gauges, one electronic doodad I can really get behind is the distance to empty display. A needle isn’t that good at conveying this information, but the digital display is.
Or the motor to do the plugs. Looking at you, Italian sports cars.
It’s been a while since I’ve driven there. I recall it being bad but holy smokes it was worse than I remember. Odd that people that live in a place that gets bad winter weather would revert to tailgating so badly when it’s sunny and dry. Still dangerous as hell.
Just visited the East Coast last week. Drove up I-95 through Massachusetts, NH and into Maine. I am still pretty shellshocked from the caravans of cars blasting along at 85 in packs of 4 or 5, just 10 feet off each others’ bumpers. We don’t have tailgating like that here in the NW.
Also, on the way back to Boston, I…
I saw/heard black GTs near U Village and in West Seattle the other day. They rumbled real nice like.
If memory serves, the stereo/CD player sounded pretty good in those Previas. Extra points if you had the ginormous sunroof over the second row!
Looks the business, but realistically needs more wheelbase to be a true desert runner.
Exactly. Hydrogen hasn’t been ruled out yet. However, the appearance of that Toyota Mirai needs to be given the boot.
