While we're on the topic, I'd love someone to convert my Volvo 745 to e-drive... Dare to dream.

No.

I really, really like the Flex. I think it's also a perfect candidate for a giant swath of batteries under the passenger compartment. I hope the car lopes along just long enough to be re-envisioned as a Tesla X competitor, albiet one compatible with roof racks.

In related crane hilarity, I offer this:

Usually Daytonas look aggressive and dynamic. This looks like a sad face to me. Fitting!

My memory of the 912 is that I don't fit in it. When I was in high school, my buddy tossed me his keys after he finished restoring a 912 with his dad. Went out to the driveway, hopped behind the seat, twisted the ignition, and tried to let out the clutch. Bam. My knee hit the back of the wheel. I couldn't de-clutch.

IIRC Cadillac stated that 300hp was "the limit" for a FWD platform when the '93 STS dropped with the Northstar engine. While I haven't driven any 300hp front-drivers, I'd have to agree. I've driven a recent GTI and it's a handful when not going dead straight.

That is a gen-u-wine shitpile. I have a burning hatred for it.

"Pack of Transformers racing down the stairs to fix a broken fax machine and/or 7200 baud modem."

At least Nissans look better than Infinitis.

Yup! It was serviced near my neighborhood of West Seattle for several months in 2011 or 2012. I'd see it every day on the way to work.

I hope you get to go, and soon. My wife and I visited Pearl Harbor on our honeymoon and it was absolutely an unforgettable experience. Give yourself plenty of time - there is so much to see. You don't want to rush a trip like that. The indoor museum is very modern and up-to-date. The exhibits are very thorough. It's

My grandfather was a WWII vet and passed on this day in 2011. I miss him dearly. He told riveting stories about his experience in the war as a B-17 radio man. He was stationed in various places in the Middle East. Indeed, the Greatest Generation.

Not that it matters much, but were the bodies recovered from the crash site, then hunters found the plane wreckage in 1973, or did the couple never arrive and were presumed dead until the wreckage was found. Q13's article isn't any more clear on this, either. (I'm not surprised as their station is terrible.)

Yes, PICKLEBOY, you are. You're the only one. ;)

Yup. My wish is that they at least include a bumper with the new p/u. The current 4Runners look stupid and incomplete.

Sorry you missed the memo, but the FJ is dead.

If I am not mistaken (going on memory alone) this hybrid employed what they called a "through the road" (TTR) system. I've not heard of this on any other vehicle: the electric drivetrain wasn't mechanically connected in the vehicle in the chassis - the push of the rear axle charged the motor up front simply by the act

This one is #1 in my book. Totally awesome. Makes the world forget about the Chrysler Pacifica, to boot.
