I remember the brief time when I thought the XLR was going to be a sweet halo car for Caddy. But that moment is long gone. THIS car, THIS V wagon, THIS is where it's at. Cadillac, let me add to the chorus here: huge fandom from a 30-something college-educated married white American male raised by parents who snickered

And it is a console-mounted shifter, not really a floor-mounted shifter.

I like that BMW (and perhaps others) offer chrome-delete options.

This must be a very odd stamping. Look at the next pic down with the front left 3/4 view.

I hadn't thought of the volleyball movie reference. Funny stuff. I assume the new nomenclature references the surf break in Santa Cruz.

I like the move at 3:35 - kid on BMX pops a little ground-level 360 to get a better view.

I think that tree would take out all 14 shitboxes.

That GM product is all FWD, all the time.

I doesn't really work the way that the demo promises. ie. "Google, show me driving directions to Bend, Oregon." (Works fine.) "Google, what temperature is it there?" (Google results for "temperature" and "frost" and "absolute zero".)

Heading back to "Seattle, Washington, DC"? Er, what?

Got hit by a K5 Blazer while driving a nine-year-old Cressida to high school one day. That got totaled out by insurance in a heartbeat. Yet an accident the same year in a then-new Explorer (MSRP was about $24K if I recall correctly) brought about $11K in damages. Insurance opted to pay for the repairs.

If/when a Lambo I am driving starts on fire, pretty much nothing is going to motivate me to put it out.

Damn that wagon looks good. For all of the sins of the X vehicles and the god-awful GTs, there's always something good about a proper Bimmer wagon.

I think it finally looks regal and elegant. The last one did not. I don't care if it shares the underpinnings with the W221, and I doubt most of the buyers don't either. Bring on the scented sprays for backseat passengers!

I wonder if that 'teepee' silhouette would have been better resolved had the 5" not been cut out of the wheelbase?

The Model S almost certainly did not outsell the E/5/A6 cars. So that fact and its price get it bumped up to competing with the S/7/A8.

I have Volvo 745, and I agree with this ad.

Yes. Always helmets. Good grief.

These are going to make for a rough ride in a massive car.

This part always makes me think there was an argument between designers. One really likes Mack trucks, the other was going for a racing nacelle look. It doesn't seem refined.
