Depending on the time of day and where you are at, in brooklyn ubers are probably 1/3 of all cars on the road during the day. In queens it’s probably closer to 1/4, in manhattan at least 1/2

The problem with limiting the amount of ubers out on the road is that these people arent doing uber for fun. It’s their actual job and you would then be cutting off people (mostly immigrants) revenue streams. These drivers pay upwards of $1,200 a month for their cars (with TLC licensing and TLC insurance) and that is

Uber isn’t much better, for a lot of the drivers it’s the only thing they can do to live. There aren’t many job opportunities for lesser-educated or uneducated immigrants in NYC. It’s rough out there and uber is their “saving grace”, sometimes their only option. It’s not exactly a good job that pays a good wage. It’s

Ubers are a nightmare to drive around. Incredibly unpredictable, often stopping at the wrong places and moving on, never signalling, crossing multiple lanes to not have to go around a block for a fare. It’s only getting worse as no cap is put on the amount of them on the road.

de_rats did it first-er

What kind of awful tease is this? 20V 5cyl with ITB’s and that gorgeous header and there is no video to accompany it?

I was upset because they WERE cheap. When you are total lossing a car, you want the parts to be as expensive as possible so you don’t have to be quite as creative in determining what the actual repair cost will be.

I can’t speak from experience on the TE models but razer offers “tournament edition” variants of the blackwidow series that lose the numberpad. More obscure mechanicals drop the arrows and home keys, too.

That would be a caravan outfitted for passenger flights. This one is for detecting nukes. I am sure it’s interior is spartan and has lots of electronic equipment taking up most of the space.

What an absolute retard. He’s asking 14 and offers 12. Then acts as if $14,000 is $100,000.

Wrote a mini the other day, I was getting really upset when the airbags were between 150-300 dollars and the headliner was $400.

This, the windshield is cheap, dash panel designed to “conceal” the airbag is not. I’ve been an insurance adjuster for closing in on a year now and I am really blown away how these cars are built with no regard for repair. Often times components are put in locations that are maybe convenient for a designer but

send up the 919 and crush some more records

Sometimes a car that is worth about $200 in scrap is going to cost the dealer that much to get rid of it, between time, transportation, titling, etc.

The E-class. Mercedes are pretty reliable.

No comment on a car company buying a train station? Am I the only one that finds that part of this story interesting?

That’s not a land rover...

Quebecois. *shrug*

The netcode is pretty bad. So many times I die when my hits register and after watching the killcam the “killing shot” from my end never landed.

I’d be happy if the frames didnt cut in half when you walk inside a house. Even in dense areas with lots of buildings, outside of them the framerate is fine, when you enter the homes and buildings though... stutter city. It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense because outdoor areas with loot spawns don’t cause those
