That’s what the con may be banking on, actually.  Have the governor (or mayor of LA) say oh hell no rather than pulling the plug.  Probably due to contracts, insurance, etc.

It won’t happen. They’ll cancel it closer to the date.

The “extremely cheap sense of accomplishment” is how you might experience it, but doesn’t represent how other people might feel about it. Reading a synopsis of Control is an insanely reductive way to experience what the game has to offer, and the challenge of the combat is certainly not the shining achievement of that

I’ve been thinking this. They said “this is a live service!” and stopped there so everyone’s like “you just saw what happened to Anthem right?"

Holy shit that actually sounds bonkers-amazing.

Shaking imagining commenters going ballistic when they see me leaving an ebony battleaxe behind so I can take a few bloody skulls back to my homestead, to add to my bloody skull pile.

I’m actually very excited for Maneater. It looks like fun, and not really a standard fair open world game. I’ve also heard it isn’t, like, 50+ hours, apparently clocks in under 20 or so, for $40? That’s just fine with me. Games like AC Odyssey REALLY overstayed their welcome, I’ve been struggling to do the Atlantis

I feel like not enough is said about just how solid the women of SNL have been for the past, I dunno, ten years?

It will be interesting to see whether Death Stranding gets a nomination at the VGA’s this year, considering how publicly Geoff Keighly’s friendship/fauning over Kojima has been, as well as having a cameo in the game.

So many PC launchers, it seems like the oversaturation is starting to swallow lesser storefronts. There’s of course Steam, Epic has the Fortnite money to keep it going, and Blizzard has its ecosystem, but everything else is falling by the wayside. Ubisoft’s uplay never had a chance, and EA’s origin service seems

I hadn’t heard of SCP before Control, but what *really* struck me, was the similarity to 2006's Sci-Fi miniseries The Lost Room.

SCP is a grand example of how creative we can push towards unsettling imagry, so much so that Stephen King probably would blow his head off and containment would be initiated.

Control is the only recent game where I read ALL the documents I found. The world they built is so fascinating! Especial the reports on the different objects of power!

“I wonder how much licensing money it would cost to get the actual MCU cast to do modeling and voice acting.”

I am actually excited to see more of these smaller dev made games then I am about all the bigger announcements that EA made.

This. This is why her date looks absolutely terrified.

Is it possible Barry isn’t in any of the pictures because he’s the man behind the camera?

They'd be shooting themselves in the foot if they removed him. He's a large part of why the KOTOR games are loved.

I’m guessing this isn’t a KOTOR movie, and instead a movie set in the Old Republic.

Looks like RDO is finally catching up with Fallout76's anti-griefer measures. Took them long enough.
