More Nier: Automata

Rocking some Captain Beefheart. Just the perfect blasted Americana to help me get through our current hell scape. Fast and Bulbous baby.

"Because you listen."

I just picked up Nier Automata which I have been enjoying very much. Just finished the Machine Village section which was super neat. I love the world, and the character are fantastic, love the Machine that is trying to do karate it's funny and sad at the same time.

"Fix their hearts or die."

HELLLLOO!

The sequence of the group leaving the movie theater and complaining to the camera about pop culture reminded me of Do the Right Thing is the best way. An aggressive confrontation to the camera with energy and verve it felt almost like a music video.

Just wanted to say that the music on this show is amazing. Reitzell did an amazing job contrast clattering cacophonies and beautiful ambience on Hannibal. But here it's this weird, methed up acid jazz and folk music that sets the balance just right,

The Talking Heads' Life During Wartime. Not only does match with my paranoid mindset, but it excuses the moments when I can randomly yell "This ain't no party! This ain't no disco!" It's a living.

This is just one of the most gorgeous and lush and sensual movie going experiences ever. Beyond the spectacular action this film really resonates with the tragic romance at the center. Just beautiful.

This game has, personally, really proved to me why the Switch works as a console. For all intents and purposes MK8D is not a new game, it has some fantastic upgrades (thank god the new battle mode is good, and the accessibility stuff is always welcome) but is ostensibly the Wii U game to go.

This week's Blank Check was a plunge into madness as the hosts' assert that maybe the only way the film War Horse makes sense is if everyone in the movie wants to actively fuck a horse. Comparisons to Freddie got Fingered ensue.

That's a lot of blood…

Aw yeah Ashi is one Strong Leaf Girl.

Gorillaz will always, in my mind at least, be the perfect Millennial band. A group whose image is completely separated from the artists who created them. Who theoretically could be continued forever past the point of their creators demise. A group who digital representation exists past the borders of conceived

I am playing Adobe Premiere with the hit new game Finishing my Film final.

Also hats off to his last work Justin Timberlake + The Tennessee Kids which is just a goddamn delight and proves that a concert film can be incredibly cinematic in a way that most people can't approach.

So Ashi wasn't wearing a ninja suit, but had burned charcoal skin. That's hardcore.

I have said this elsewhere, but the great tragedy of the Wachowskis' career is that their films have been horribly misunderstood by the trolls and slime of the internet. Here are two people who have struggled with their own identities, construct beautiful and humanistic pieces about the true soul and body. The true

I picked up Wonder Boy on the Switch, and by golly it's such a lovely little game and perfect for that platform. The art style is endlessly charming, the flipping between modern and retro styles is fun, and for extra nerdery all of the old passwords can be used on the system.
