Also, the fact that the Gym goes to being completely unclaimed works badly - I beat my first Gyms today in a crowded location, and the team that just got kicked out immediately went straight back in before anyone else could claim it. I gave up pretty quickly, though it does earn a fair amount of EXP.

Alternatively, you can pay attention to Pokestops and find out about things in the real world you never knew about, despite being pretty familiar with your hometown.

Monster Hunter Generations and Pokemon Go. Britain is in the middle of a very uncharacteristic heatwave right now, so it's almost too hot to play Pokemon Go.
Monster Hunter Generations is kinda overwhelming right now. Generations finally focuses on the core of Monster Hunter Herb Gatherer: gathering quests.

Or, if you like mining but hate monsters and hunger, there's Peaceful mode, which is what I play on. Creepers won't blow up your shit randomly, you don't have to eat steaks every 20 minutes, but you should still avoid jumping into ravines from the top. It's a nice balance.

I've not listened to the whole Summer Playlist yet, but I listened to the Plok and Frogger ones and they were pretty great.
For all the (lack of) sense that Katamari lyrics translation makes, it does actually manage to rhyme once, which is neat.

Well, Monster Hunter Generations just arrived! I got the special edition, which means it came with a random monster figurine. Of course, I got the one I least wanted, Gammoth. Not that I'm too displeased, it's still pretty cool. I also inexplicably got an unpainted Glavenus head as well, which was pretty weird.

The title theme from Zelda Wind Waker. Wind Waker feels like a very summery game, and the title theme does a wonderful job of evoking the atmosphere of standing in the summer breeze and looking out over the ocean, as Link does in the title sequence. The strings are plucked in a way which I think is reminiscent of the

If you run away from the starters 4 times, Pikachu shows up instead! And you can find Mew under a truck!

It's the third option at the item box. You register and use them just like Armour Sets.

Sure. MH3U was my first, and I still love it. I was overjoyed to see Moga Woods and Lagiacrus return. But I feel many aspects of it like elevation are really sluggish, and I much prefer the varied environments of MH4U to the flat ones of previous games. Also, no item sets! And well, I guess we have to agree to

Haha, I just read that recently. I think it succeeded where some other writing books failed by making me actually want to get on and do stuff. The NaNoWriMo book has a different approach to On Writing but made me feel the same way.

I finally beat the last puzzle in Hexcells Infinite that was giving me trouble - I'd previously only beaten it by cheating or by looking at walkthroughs for the answer. What a satisfying feeling. I've actually spent 48 hours on that game, according to Steam.
Other than that, well Pokemon Go still isn't out here yet. I

Every current good show. I need to get it together and actually watch TV sometime!

What do you think of Cittagazze? I think that city must be one of my favourite locations in books, or maybe even in any fiction. It's so atmospheric.

Managed to overcome some of my fears about travelling alone to big cities by going to London for the weekend to meet up with some wonderful friends I haven't seen in ages. A bunch of things went wrong on the trip but honestly that makes me even more confident, because if loads of things go wrong but everything still

I don't really tend to go slower in games. I always go for the fastest speed which I am still comfortable controlling. On the other hand, I do search out every nook and cranny, and I occasionally spend some time looking at a nice view.
Some games don't seem to want you to go slow, though. I have no idea how it would be

Thanks DrFlimFlam, I think you have just perfectly captured one of the reasons why I love traveling round the Great Sea in Wind Waker so much more than galloping across Hyrule Field in Twilight Princess.
The other reason is because I think sailing is amazing.

From what I'm hearing, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate may be better for newcomers than Generations - Generations apparently is not paced as well and neglects the story (I mean, the stories are never great in MH, but 4 Ultimate kept me invested). Also, Generations is something of a nostalgia-fest, which is fine, but may be

Don't believe so, but you can disable them immediately after installing, before the app even opens.

Plus, if you're using the latest version of Android, you can disable permissions you dislike. You'll get asked to enable them again if the app tries to do something requiring those permissions, usually with an explanation of what they're needed for.
