I have a 970 and it runs most everything at 2K ultra with no problems. I can even run Witcher 3 and damn near everything maxed and still average 40-50fps, with dips into the 30's.

and to think people tried to say the VRAM controversy around it was going to hurt Nvidia.

The dude who made the game never asked for it to be a mega hit. It's a good game, that's why it's getting the attention it is.

It would have been tolerable had they not had the gall to charge $60, fake graphical fidelity at E3, if the vehicles didn’t handle like wheelchairs on ice, and if the main character didn’t have the personality of sandpaper.

I’m guessing there are zero actual backers - they’re counting on it getting taken down, which it will. This doesn’t have warning signs, this is clearly a mentally ill person’s fantasy and/or a badly done Nigerian scam.

Because even if the goal wasn’t next to impossible for an individual with no programming or art directing experience, Disney will quash it before it ever gets realized.

The backers are, in essence, making fun of the guy.

I agree, and this is supposedly by a 20 y/o human. The people who are treating as cute and are like don’t rain on his parade are reacting like a 6 y/o wrote it. If he was 6 then it would be a little more understandable but this is supposed to be fully developed adult. Possibly there are some background issues perhaps…

If I were Kickstarter I would take this down immediately. It’s kind of making a mockery of their service. It is definitely not in Kickstarter’s best interest for anyone to think they can just create totally unrealistic campaigns just to gague interest or for their own amusement.

I don’t know, even in that aspect this is just sad, not absurd. YourKickstarterSucks has catalogued far, FAR more absurd Kickstarters than this.

I saw that he had 3 backers with $1,500 or more. I am fairly certain they backed it because they know there is no way in hell this is ever happening.

This is all a performance art piece to see how many people will buy into the most absurd thing ever put to kickstarter.

I doubt Disney will let him do this, as they have shut down numerous fan films and games. I doubt Kickstarter will allow him to continue without, at least, a working demo. With the colleges available to him nearby, including SMU Guildhall, I am surprised he just doesn’t go to college to learn everything he needs, then…
