I'm not too big on the whole RAW on compact/bridge cameras. But your point about tripods is kinda funny. Tripods go for about 30-60$ for a decent-enough model to support this camera. Ever seen the real super-zooms 400mm+, how often do you see them NOT on a tripod/monopod? :P
