Only if their looks weren't part of the package.

I feel we put too much emphasis on ‘so they won’t act on their feelings’. As if someone’s sexual urges were inevitable. Plenty of people want to have sex but don’t, even when they won’t hurt someone by doing so.

A pedophile? I wasn't aware he screwed anyone under the age of 16 (16 being the age of consent).

The entire thing is disgusting, but this really felt like a punch:

I sort of assumed she was dressed in garish colours and ill fitting gowns to make a point: that her parents don’t care much about her. And also to play up the ‘plus size’ angle (as an Empire line would be more flattering to her body type). But yeah, I always get annoyed at stuff like this. I’m no expert or dressmaker.

Because all they want is attention. Good or bad, doesn't matter - hence the "please leave us alone" act closely followed by the "look at moi, I'm *important*" routine from both of them. The longer this goes on the more obvious it is thst there was no bullying, etc... Just a desire for money and someone to fawn over

It's well known in NZ that he's a bit of an arsehole.

Also, while I sympathise with her about the miscarriage - no-one deserves that - she posted not long afterwards about how she'd been having trouble with her drinking. She didn't outright state it, but she strongly inferred it was during the pregnancy, before she lost the baby. I was shocked that no-one picked up on

I mean, he managed to keep his staff, unlike the Markles...

And remember she was well briefed before she married him. She just thought she was important enough for the rules to be changed. Narcissistic, eh?

When you get to a certain age, you start to see certain personalities emerge before others do because you’ve come across people like that before. It still kind of amazes me that no-one seems to see through Megan’s ‘I’m such a nice girl surrounded by baddies’ act, but c’est la vie. No-one who brings drama (aka an

I'm really sorry, but I have to say a huge Fuck You to the idea that fat people are fat because they're not willing to 'change habits'. I've always been obese despite eating less than my thin husband and siblings, despite being as or more active than they are. The only thing the 'change habits' advice did was give me

Yes. This is why I, an obese person, will take the vaccine the moment it’s offered to me, without worrying about others. Because I have been ignored and passed over for medical treatment so often in my life: for once they're actually going to treat me. I'll take it.

I have a 2 pronged approach: I try to make sure there’s something in the meal most of the kids will eat and if they don't eat it, there's the fruit bowl, knock yourself out.

As a fat woman, it pissed me off that the accepted theory for years was that these figures represented ‘pregnant women’ when she is quite clearly what I see in the mirror after a shower. This new study is a little better, but only a little. I can only offer three points: 1) these are clearly *obese/fat* women, 2)

That’s not unusual though. My husband, when we were first together, loved that I was open emotionally (heart of gold, heart on my sleeve, etc). Once we’d been together a while he doubled down on his opinion that I was “too emotional” and needed to be more WASPish and cold. Men fall for the manic pixie dream girl (or

Funny you say that, because that’s Charles’ aim (to pare back the monarchy to just the heir and their heirs) and that is also why Megan and Harry got the hump and left: they were not happy to be pared.

At one point in NZ we had a female prime minister, a female leader of the opposition, and a female governor General (the crown's representative). Female leadership is not new.

I’m in New Zealand so I went and voted and yay - Jacinda won! On the downside though the local candidate I wanted didn’t succeed but at least she was beaten by someone from Jacinda’s party (could be worse). And I’m worried about the rise of our far right party who used to only have 1 seat in Parliament and will now

That's actually kind of... sweet.
