As someone who owns and know Elements they are so out of the price range. The Element is worth between $3,500-$5,000 depending on location and desire. A new Ursa Minor ECamper is $6,500 and maybe a few options. I would say $10k or less is about the high limit.

No pics, but in the early 90's I owned a 1984 Ford Ranger . It had the drive train from an 2.3 liter SVO. So a turbo with too much boost and a stick. RWD and fat tires and it was horrible and scary in the snow. Fun to play with in a parking lot, but scary on the road and would not move on even the slightest of hills.

I hate pumping gas for some reason. I will gladly rebuild a front-end, rebuild a motor, etc. But if there is a gas station with full and one with self service, I will choose the full if the price is within a dime or so.
