Afterman was the very start of the entire CC story.

YotBR is generally considered their weakest album. Stylistically I found it was still them. but of had none of the CC soul. But still, you need to listen to their newer stuff, they’re damn awesome

Oh absolutely, because they built themselves around the concept it was kind of the natural thought that they would continue on. But if from the few interviews with Claudio and the band that I’ve read, you get a feel that they don’t want to stretch out the story for the sake of the music, and that they wanted to tell…

It’ll be interesting to see how the album comes out, because Coheed style wise has been all over the map, touching different styles/genres like you said. I’ve always liked all their stuff (even though YotBR was kind of weak), so I’m not too worried about the album at its whole because Coheed puts out solid stuff.…

That was the big question after “The Afterman” came out, considering, it was basically the final piece of the story they had left to tell. A non-concept album is a nice breather for them I think

I’ve only ever managed to catch them once in Canada, and damn that was an amazing show!

Yeah, as much as I love Goku as a character, I would have absolutely loved if they had kept with Gohan becoming the new main character instead of rehashing it back to Goku
