never mind.

Heh, even I get confused there sometimes, because for 11 years of my life MBNA meant Merecedes-Benz of North America, but yeah, that's the 'normal' 1st association for that acronym in most folks' minds.

I worked for MBNA from 84-95, and the 560sec was, in my opinion, the sexiest thing they produced until the 4th gen SL's. Haven't seen or thought of one in a decade, so this takes me back!

Or as I like to call him, "Deadpan Dick"...

Here's one of Chicago's finest, moments after busting some rail-jumping dude-bro at the Blackhawks Cup rally in 2010, soaking in some adulation from the assembled multitudes. I think they like to sport the pink accessories as a way to twist the knife a bit- "LOL you got busted by a girl!"

"Ahh, Nazi-schmatzi..." says Werner Von Braun.

I love it for the way the driver pops out an IMMEDIATELY starts looking for a blown tire, because, yeah, you didn't roll dad's rodded pickup on sheer dumbassery.

Ugh, I didn't even get that far in the trailer; I watched 30 seconds, whipped out my wallet and jumped to the article hoping to find a link to this awesome looking thing...

And the fighting games, don't get me started!! I don't play any, but sometimes I get a kick watching competitive matches- usually posted under "YOU GOTTA SEE THIS!!!1" headlines- because where I see just see sprites and pixels flailing, I hear the crowd reactions to I-know-not-the-eff-what, and can't help but be

I've never seen this until now, and while I agree it is grating- as are any number of commercials that use the "everyday noises woven into a percussive rythym track" (Twix, I'm looking at you)- to my mind there is no more annoying, cloying, piece of shit auto ad than this ear-poison...

It's more than a mere 'profanity' filter; it seems to also be a "no-name-calling' filter, as it censors things like 'dillweed', which is about as non-profane as an appellation can get.

After watching that, I don't think Mr. Goss's definition of "performance" is the same as most of the readership here...

I had it for my Atari 800, so "HA!", mine was twice as better...

We also watch a ton of Velocity in my house (and I narrate all of my projects in Edd China's voice in me head), but I've got to say, "Too much 'Overhaulin' lately". The appeal of that show totally escapes me...

LOL,what are the chances...

My mother had an 84 Chevy Celebrity, bone stock, in the beige-ist powder blue. It was the epitome of a point-A-to-point-B grocery-getting thing, and after she went into a nursing home it sat un-used in my driveway from '89-'95.

"Brand prejudice", how about it?

I've never heard *this* song before, but I'm a longtime XTC fan and yeah, the melodic similarity is shockingly obvious. They even shamelessly pay homage to the 'ooh-ooh' choral accents.
