Gotta just add my new favorite saying here-

Also- what is the point? Is 'spastic' the new 'sexy'?

'it's like the punk version of "Baby it's Cold Outside"'

This was mine, last September. Damn that was such a sweet color, and they stopped after 2008. Although this one was totaled out from under me, I was contacted by the young fellow who scooped it up at auction, and it is back on the road now.

I am extremely liberal, but I am not anti-gun. I am, however, in favor of realistic gun legislation- similar to what the rest of the first world does- and I despise the NRA and LaPierre for their insistence that no more are needed.

FYI, both Deadspin and Jalopnik have converted to the "latest" kinja commenting system. I point this out because all the sites will be converted eventually, and if you're a fan of the network in toto you can get a glimpse of the future for the rest of them.

Look at that crazy fuck!

It goes the other way too, I distinctly remember the very first time I played "Proteus", within three minutes I was thinking "OK, it's all that it was supposed to be, but WHY does it have to be a retro/pixellated/minimalist world," (and I don't mean that in the "indie-bashing-backlash" way that seems to be rising,)

Or the "Proteus" guys!

I love an open car, and that was enough justification for me to own two consecutive Chrysler Sebrings (a '99 and an '01). Not afraid to admit it, I really enjoyed the cars as top-down cruising vehicles.

No one's mentioned making aircraft carriers out if ice and sawdust?  Pykrete's got you covered!

"What did you want, another carbon copy of the old XJ Cherokee? That Jeep is excellent and much-loved, but it's time to try something new. And we've seen what happens what Jeep tries to copy that styling — we get stuff like the Liberty or the Patriot, and neither of those were particularly inspiring."

I'm in a "Jeep" family, and I've just called my wife into the room to show her the new Cherokee, which neither of us was aware of.  She's definitely excited!

"Watch out for snakes."

I'm on my second 8th Gen Si, and if you'd just throw on some bolt-ons- and there're more options for that platform than you can shake a stick-shift at- and that K20 can both growl and purr.

My mom's first car too!  We were living in Ponca City Oklahoma, where my dad was doing rocket science at Continental Oil.  My mother, a city girl, was bored to tears there and decided to go back to school, so they bought her a new Corvair coupe.  I distinctly recall going along with them as he taught her to drive it.

A job he's held ever since he retired from being Payne Stewart's co-pilot.

And louvres on the back window.  Let's bring those back too!  Now excuse me while I go rummage in the attic for my italian horn and Member's Only jacket...

Well I LOL'ed at the Turok reference, anyway!

Fortunately, no actual Civic Si's were "injured" by an automatic transmission (I'm on my 2nd!) But your dad's point about tachs and auto trans'es still stands.
