Lawzy lawzy lawz, beaten with my own punch (though on reflection, your pretense of not getting the reference, in service to bolstering a deeper one- which I will admit to totally missing, despite the fact that I did indeed listen to Paul Harvey pretty regularly in the winter of 1978, while driving auto parts up and

Oy, after the whole "rest of the story" schtick, it was Mr. Harvey's iconic 'sign-off', for like a hojillion years. Not really any more (or less, admittedly) of an annoying obscure reference than your own. Therefore, in lieu of the aforementioned flowers, I will be making a donation of 1/64th of my annual income

Good day.

Also, I've never seen an ad on a Gawker site that couldn't be defeated by simply refreshing the page.

I hear you- I'm in a Civic Si, and the best solution, Hondata, is 599. I was lucky enough to snag a used one from a fellow who aimed at 5th-to-4th but managed 5th-to-2nd, at 90, and left chunks of K20 all over I-88 (to add insult to injury, the tow company managed to drop it of the SIDE of a flatbed!)

Thanks for the replies- out of curiosity I looked myself, and it looks to be a mess. Found a thread at Challengerforumz.com discussing a company called B&G that supposedly can re-tune PCM/ECUs that are sent to them. Not ideal, but that's one way...

"The thing that really sucks is that Dodge chose to encrypt the PCM..."

"Tide come in, the tide goes out- you can't explain that!"

This falls under that category of "Life-lessons Everyone Should Learn Prior to Graduating High School" (alongside balancing a checkbook, proper hygiene, and how to not break a fucking egg); 'once you have a job, never, ever, ever post a single negative word about said employer, co-workers, bosses, office politics, the

In September I had my DD totaled by a comatose idiot, in stop-and-go expressway traffic at 830 on a Monday morning. It was also my project car, and I had even entered it in a show scheduled in 13 days.

Well I'll chime in and say that I *do* get this. Everyone's mileage will vary, but as a 50-something male with pretty good skin and a baby-face who did indeed get carded into my thirties, I can't deny that it's flattering to have people guess I'm a decade younger than I am.

Ugh, Super Bowl 41... remember that bright, shining moment after Hester's opening-kickoff TD return, when we were duped into thinking the Bears might actually stand a chance? Wotta tease.

Now playing

(Despite my personal aversion to these ubiquitous "Internet Grammar Tropes") I'll just leave this here.

BROS before HO HO HOS amirite?

But that song makes my spinal fluid itch. Just awful... and methinks the only thing she's been "waitin' all day" for is her fat check.

I worked for Mercedes-Benz of N.A. for 11 years. It was a shitty parts warehouse job, but it payed very well, considering. Plus they showered us with promotional materials annually, many of which I still have (including some rare Andy Warhol posters). There were employee "test drives"; I had a 500SL for a weekend

Woot, I'm a TG-16 20%-er!

Wrong video, and wrong "BASS".

I tend to agree with your assessment of the books. I personally do not consider the LoTR movies as actual interpretations of the books, but rather pretty nicely done visual illustrations of key scenes. Like really expensive digital "pop-up" books.
