While I'm saddened to hear this news, I ended up purchasing a Red/Black 3DSXL since it would have been the natural second choice. But at this point, I'm waiting for a case mod shell to come out so I can replace the covers with something else (most likely an all black mod).

I agree on all points except for the Mitsubishi Eclipse. With the right colour, tint, and rims, that's got to be one of my favourite Batman look-alike cars of all time.
