They’ve broken it into a trilogy, and they’re releasing races more or less geographically. So if the second game is Lustria + Ulthuan + Naggaroth, we’ll see tons of elves in that game. Plus my Lizardmen! We can hope that Wood Elves (and probably Beastmen by association) get added as DLC, but there’s no telling at this

It’s not a pipe dream. It’s confirmed that CA are going to include all 15 major factions (and possible a 16th like Chaos Dwarfs) over the course of its Total War: Warhammer trilogy and corresponding DLC/FreeLC. As another avid Lizardmen fan, I too look forward to their release. We just gotta hope they add Lustria in

Age of Sigmar = the bad Warhammer

You do in fact need this game. And dwarfs are awesome (really all the races are IMO) and can play a lot like tabletop. They’re slow, sturdy, and it’s never a bad idea to bring a solid infantry core and a huge gunline with artillery to shoot everyone to death!

CA has stated that they will be released all the major factions as playable races over the course of the Total War: Warhammer trilogy that they have planned, so your stinky little rats will make an appearance as lovely target practice for my Lizardmen some day :)

Well, they’re not in the current game (except as Hellcannon crew), but there is some chance that they’ll make an appearance in one of the sequels or as DLC. Originally CA stated that they will eventually include all 15 major races over the course of the trilogy + DLC/FreeLC, but lately I’ve seen two different sources

I’m not 100% sure on this, but if CA is handling Warriors of Chaos like their other DLC factions, I would bet that they are NOT playable in skirmish if you do not have the DLC. Luckily, everyone who pre-ordered or purchases the game within 1 week of launch gets them for free.

I was a little surprised you didn’t mention the available factions or their future plans for the series. Perhaps you weren’t aware, but CA released a blog detailing their future plans with Total Warhammer (as it should have been called :D ), which I’ve linked down below. I think it’s worth mentioning in the review

I freaking love Star Wars: Rebellion (1998). A long time ago, several galaxies far, far away were fought over, conquered, and liberated. I hope this board game can capture even a portion of that feeling of being the mastermind behind the entire Rebellion or being the ruthless dictator controlling the Empire with an
