I'm having trouble even understanding what that means for it to be offensive. Does she think moccasins are some kind of produce?

I really don't disagree. My point wasn't so much about standing up against offensive words and being politically correct, or picking and choosing who can be made fun of, so much as it was making a joke about how Sterling has made offensive remarks just about every time he opened his mouth. And since this particular…
I actually never knew up until a couple of years ago that gypped was considered offensive by some. It's not really a part of my vocabulary but I can remember using it as a kid and thinking that it was spelled "jipped" and I had no clue it was associated with gypsies. I just thought it was a slang word for getting…
Wait, what? I'm not here to take some politically correct stand. I personally don't find the word "gypped" to be offensive. But I have found that some people would consider it to be. And I was just making a joke about how it's probably a term Sterling would throw out there since he seems to have no filter and says…
And then he'd rant about how he felt he was being gypped.
I never knew it was derogatory. To me it's always been synonymous with overreacting or just being ridiculously dramatic about something that doesn't warrant that type of reaction. I'm kind of shocked to find out it's considered offensive in other places.
You seem like a miserable person.
Both Ghostwriter and Lamb Chop were on PBS.
I don't remember it specifically but it sounds vaguely familiar.
I am going to call my mother up tomorrow and scream, "YOU MONSTERRRRRR" while shaking my fist in the air. Then she'll know.
Wasn't Ghostwriter just the best? I know if I watched it now I'd die of how corny it is, but at the time, man, it was just one of the most captivating things I could think of. I miss being that enchanted by a TV show. I don't think it's happened since that era.
I was born in the early 80's and I don't ever remember watching this show though I've heard of it and know what it is now. Am I strange? Are my parents monsters? I remember Fraggle Rock, and Care Bears, the original Nintendo and Ghost Writer. Even Lamb Chop. But I have no memory of ever watching Reading Rainbow.…
I think so. I only read a blurb about her possibly cheating right here on Jez so who knows? It's also probably hard not to look like you're "showing off" when every move you make is covered by paparazzi.
I'm pretty sure that at the time, to the person who lost the pet, it feels like the worst. It's not meant to be taken literally as THE WORST thing that can and ever will happen to all of humanity.
I didn't follow the whole situation very closely so I may be incorrect, but I thought I had read somewhere that there were rumors of Gwyneth cheating and causing the split to begin with. So I don't know, but I think if one spouse cheats and you split up, why should the other spouse have to be worried about the…
I'm so sorry, Italy. First we gave you Jersey Shore and now this. If you can't ever forgive us, I completely understand. We've really failed you.
