I liked David Lynch's Dune enough that I went back to see it the next night, as well. And yet, and yet....

Valhalla rising is genius! Directed by the same guy who did Drive and Only God Forgives

The Warriors is genius and I will paint my face, put on my Mets uniform and whack you with a baseball bat if you say otherwise. I watch the DVD at least once every two months.

Completely disagree.

Come out to play. The Warriors is fuckin' great. Dig it.

Because corporations are people, my friend.

I'm always amazed by how beautifully rusted cast iron cleans up.

Fulfilling my geekiest ambition, I collect and restore 19th century exercise equipment and related ephemera (posters, etc.) The collection currently includes antique Indian clubs and cast-iron dumbbells, a wall-mounted weightlifting machine, a rowing machine dating to the 1880s, medicine ball, a sabre fencing mask

Nail polish. I have ~735 right now. I am in the midst of an inventory check and reorganization so I currently don't have an exact number. It's organized into three Ikea Helmer cabinets, by colour: Pink, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, brown, rainbow (no dominant base colour), black/white/grey and then

Antique ouija boards. Have around 18 at the moment. I helped build and curate a ouija board exhibition for a local museum and became fascinated with the history and social/religious stigma surrounding them. I mostly find them at estate sales, antique shops and online. My oldest board dates back to 1898. This one

Love love love this book. Aziraphale and Crowley getting drunk and talking about dolphins, gorillas, and primate nest building remains one of my favorite literary moments of all time.

San Diego doesn't want your strip mall paradise. Being born and raised throughout most of Southern California, I can say that pretty much everyone looks at Orange County as the creepy cousin we occasionally have to brave a visit with in order to go to Disneyland. Western Florida, really.

Pretty sure Orange County was supposed to be part of West California but LA didn't want you either. Trust me, San Diego certainly isn't fighting to have you.
