They’re big, but they’re no Land Cruiser. Maybe the later, “soft” Land Cruisers that only have two lockable differentials, but if you likened the Sequoia to a Land Cruiser in a Land Cruiser forum, you’re gonna need a fire extinguisher due to all the flaming you’d get.

As silly as this might sound, no physical buttons for climate control is a major no for me.

I bet it depends. In today’s market, $40k isn’t supposed to get you all that much but to many people, “$40k car” still conjures memories and expectations of cars at that price point from 20 years ago.

You’re paying for the drivetrain. No one questioned the prices of WRX STIs or EVOs.

Here’s the question I have: Does it feel like a car that should cost $40k+?

This is the result of a recall a few years ago, around ‘18 IIRC. Something about the original design of the dual exhaust on the Sport and Interceptor models allowed exhaust fumes to enter the vehicle through the rear hatch and people were getting sick. Ford’s response was to make those downturned tips the standard

Apparently it’s to prevent soot buildup on the shiny tips. DI engines create a lot of soot, and lots of vehicles that have them have chrome or silver tips - both real and fake - that are now permanently blackened.

Eh, they want this to be cross shopped with a Golf R, S3, A35, etc. Honestly, the whole “type-R” brand was built on subtle looks, the NSX-R and ITR looked almost identical to the standard versions except for the wings.

This looks SO much better than the last one. I’m sure there are young students/professionals who could afford the $38-$44k Type R, and liked the look. But for anyone of a certain age (40+ maybe?), it might’ve been the most embarrassing car to be seen in. If you loved anime and Fast & Furious 20 years ago, that’s

With the Toyota Crown, That’s the second ugly two-tone Red & Black vehicle I wish I hadn’t seen this week

put a couple of superfluous pipes, lights, and “sensors” on the outside and this thing is straight out of Cyberpunk 2077. I love it and must have one.

People always have questions on why get a Roof Top Tent. I’m on my second one in 5 years and I’ve spent about 200 nights in them.

But it is a TRD Pro! /s

There’s something profoundly ironic about naming a vehicle getting fuel economy in the low teens after the one of the oldest and largest life forms being destroyed by climate change.

It sounds about right compared to other pieces. I mean it’s got almost 4k pieces, the Millenium Falcon has double that and it’s $800.

This is the best car for a family of 4 ever sold on the US market.

Mazda 5

“Our decision is that if some dumb dick starts shit with Mike Fucking Tyson then they get what they got coming to them. Case closed.”

This is a really good looking SUV. Hopefully the driving dynamics finally match the looks. We have a new big boi RR coming in the summer but could see the new Sport being awfully tempting given the lower starting price and the fact the interior looks on par with its big brother.
