I’ll reserve judgement until I can hear the engine without the shitty eurobeat.

Came here for this.
I thoroughly enjoyed my new 1996 Civic automatic at the time, but boy I didn’t know what I was missing until I learned how to drive stick on a 2002 Jetta. As a result, I do not remember the Honda slushbox fondly.
“Cool, cool...” Haha - funny stuff man.
Agree with everything you said. The Elantra is just not a good looking car - and the N treatment doesn’t help much.
I don’t think he’s saying that at all. It sounds to me like he’s saying the bad comes with the good. I.e. Musk is a pretty big douche, but he may still be a net benefit to humanity due to advancing certain technologies.
I’m buying one new. And I swore I’d never buy a brand new car again.
The Avalon TRD is my guilty pleasure car. Makes no sense, but I kinda like the way it looks and wouldn’t mind driving one with a brown paper bag over my head.
This is not a good looking car.
Agree. I’ve driven quite a few fun cars, and the RSX-S is probably in the top 3 for me. The high-revving NA engine with that slick 6-spd was magical for my early-20s mindset. The only issue I had with it was the infamous 2nd gear grind.
They’ll steal a page from Ford’s book and call it the Mazda Mach-Eata
I would much much much rather drive the GR86 over a Camry, or any other economy car that is faster than the GR86. When it comes to a purist driving feel in this price range, BRZ/GR86/Miata are the only games in town.
I feel personally attacked.
I’m interested, but only if they offer it with 3 pedals.
I just pointed this out to my wife a few days ago while sitting behind a Mazda crossover. I was so impressed with this aesthetic touch, and she was just like whatever. Glad I have you guys to appreciate shit like this.
Are the seats really as shitty as they look in the picture? Those look they have no business being in a car at this price point. Wonder if the GT seats will be nicer.
As a longtime Miata guy, I love the concept of this car but can’t get past the garish looks. I’m glad that it exists though.
The magnificent bastard actually did it. Bravo!
What are the chances that this will have 2+2 seating? Nearly zero? I would be really interested if it had 2 back seats for for small children.
I associate it with the one Simpsons episode it was featured in.
