100% agree with this opinion. I’ve been looking for a vendor to offer an accordion boot for my Miata, but nothing as of yet unfortunately. I do think there’s a market for them.

Well said!

Seriously! I don’t know if it’s the angle used for the shot, but the proportions look very awkward.

A maroon 1994 Volvo 850 was the first nice car my dad bought after he finished his medical residency. Leather, sunroof, and what sounded like an amazing stereo system to my 12-year-old self. Maybe it’s just nostalgia, but I could swear it had the best new car smell of any car I’ve sniffed since. Absolutely love the

Great suggestion. Truly unique and lightening quick.

Obligatory: Can’t wait to buy a used one in about 5 years.

Cross-cab for sure

Awesome! My brother and I loved this car as two kids growing up in the 90s. We also lusted after the Acura Vigor and Acura Legend.

Agreed. I have really liked BMW roadster designs of the past even though some were not classically elegant in my opinion. This one, however, is falling short. Maybe it will grow on me.

I love roadsters, but this car does nothing for me. The design is lacking elegance.

I’m worried this is going to “inspire” me to take a Sawzall to my Miata’s A-pillar.

Wish it were this easy to install a hitch on the NC. I’m currently installing mine and it requires drilling 6 holes into the car’s sheet metal and bumper support. Pretty sure the bumper support is made out of pure adamantium, because every single drill bit I’ve thrown at it has proved useless.

Jesus, that’s some solid driving. How many hours do I need in Assetto Corsa to be as good as him?

That’s what I thought too. My guess is that it’s becoming harder for companies in these industries to find employees that know how to drive a manual. At some point, they probably just remove this skillset from the list of hiring credentials. It becomes a nice-to-have skill, but not required.

Completely anecdotal, but I had an experience today that really woke me up to the fact that driving a manual is quickly becoming a lost art. I took my 6-speed Mazda5 in to get the state inspection done, and my keys were handed to a late-teens/early-20s employee who would be doing my inspection. He had to move the car

This song always reminds me of that VW commercial.

Agreed. I understand why manufacturers don’t offer a manual, so I can get over that. However, to include a lackluster auto in a car like this is inexcusable. I mean, it switches back to auto mode when you come to a stop?! What the hell were they thinking?

Couldn’t the snow plow truck have used the plow to anchor himself to stop from sliding? I’m not sure how those plows work, so I could be wrong.

You just made me want a Yaris. Nicely done.
