As an experiment, I read the title of this article, in Mexico, to a relatively large group of people, almost all of them gamers. The response was, overwhelmingly, “I mean I guess... so what?”

Is this game impossible to find a physical copy everywhere or just in Mexico? Game stores were each provided a single non-pre-order copy.

Yeah, Pokemon is not a priority, Town is. Gamefreak is on its last legs within The Pokemon Company, and without another new, more inspired game to stand on when they lose Pokemon, they are doomed. That’s why they’re not bothering bringing their best to Pokemon anymore.

I find it hilarious that the villains are toxic fans. In nothing else, Gamefreak is self-aware. And knew ahead of time the fanbase would react like this.

My perspectve n Epic is that, while they are miles behind Steam from a customer viewpoint, they are lightyears ahead from a “treatment of devs” standpoint. Yeah if you’re Ubisoft it’s not gonna make a big difference to you which store you’re on but when you’re a small studio worrying about getting shut down every time

I really hope that attack waits to see if you killed your oponent before taking your stock.

“Perhaps one of them is Goku-shaped?”

“I want to spend money to make the fire look less traumatic and reminiscent of a real horror to a nation that just had the worst violent attack since World War II.”

If they made Let’s Go Pikachu-level animations for every pokemon in the game they are fools to not have shown it yet, because so far, the only information the community has at its disposal would lead a reasonable person to conclude that Gamefreak blatantly

They also said that thier main priority was creating new experiences that are just as exciting as Pokemon, which I read as “pokemon is our second priority”.

Gamefrea stated a few months back that Town is their main priority right now. Team 1 at Gamefreak has that and Team 2 has Pokemon. No long work hours would be needed if Pokemon was their priority.

That whole thing... felt almost as off-base as Gamefreak itself. Fans overwhelmingly want, more than “change” or “the same”, to see Gamefreak give Pokemon the effort it deserves. It’s re-using 100% of battle animations (and then said it that animations were why the Pokedex was missing, which is a blatant,

“And now, our newest addition, Droidekas! please ignore the fact that they were also playable and less buggy on the PS2 Battlefront 2”

I’d say “Alright see you all in Sharp Sword and Sturdy Shield in 2022” but let’s face it, when this game underperforms like Let’s Go, that will make this the last main series pokemon game in a *while*.

I feel like the much bigger issue is the Big Brother facial match.

Yo dawg...

Legally, you can track down the box sets. Otherwise, kissanime has the whole thing. While supporting the creators is definitely better, I’m not gonna judge you here, especially since you presumably

Watch a side-by-side. The new one is much less energetic and expressive, and it somehow sounds more dated than the classic one. Also, Fly Me To The Moon is objectively better music than the creepy piano music they got for the credits.

I mean it will serve you just fine but it is definitely an inferior experience. If you wouldn’t watch it without the convenience of Netflix watch it, but if you have the option to watch the original dub, do that instead.

Also missing: A good dub.
